Valentine's Day Decor

Happy Tuesday, friends!!!  Today I'm sharing a few little touches that I've added to our house to celebrate Valentine's Day.

When I clean up after Christmas I always love the clean and simplified spaces so over the years I've "toned down" my Valentine's decor to a few little touches here and there.  Hoping today that you can find an idea or two to bring some festive fun to your house as well.

The biggest thing I did was hang up  this LOVE YOU banner and wreath in the family room.  I love that it's Valentines-esque without necessarily being red and pink :)  The white "snowball" garland was a Michaels find from several years ago.

Al I added to the little corner "nook" was an XO pillow I picked up at Marshalls and a little heart ornament that Luke picked out for me for birthday years and years ago.

I felt like it went along really well with the pillows we have on our couch.

We have the sugarboo pillows out year round and they are covered in hearts so that counts as part of the theme, right? ;)

These are my favorite pillows EVER and I've grabbed them over time at different online boutiques as they've run sales and promos but I LOVE the size, quality and sentiments on them.

The kitchen table I kept super simple... really all I added was the little beaded heart strand (which I picked up at Ambrosia downtown McKinney)

Not a lot of change in the kitchen... just  a couple of "love mugs" out with my regular crew...

And a few Valentines plates out for the kids to grab.

I picked these up at Pottery Barn Kids a few years ago and they're my favorites.

I added  a little heart dish to some latte bowls and measuring cups....

... and did add in a little red and pink with this cute heart garland.

In the living room I added a couple of  Vine and Branches signs...

... and  a dish of Smarties (the original and BEST Canadian Smarties) :)

And another Vine and Branches sign on the entry table...

And that's it! Just a few festive touches! If you have any questions let me know :)

Happy Tuesday, friends!!!

  1. Can you buy Canadian smarties in the US? Which are the best by far, in my opinion!!! They beat out M&M's, always! sidenote- I am from Canada so my opinion could be biased, haha!

  7. Canadian Smarties are really good, but my fave is Coffee Crisp! I buy some every summer to bring home with me and it doesn't make it a week before it's gone!

  8. I love everything you chose! You probably hear this all the time, but reading your blog has reminded me to celebrate the little things every day and be more intentional with my daughters (as they’re watching my walk with Christ). “I choose joy” every day is my catch phrase and one reason I gave my daughter that middle name.
