Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!!! It's been a great week and  I'm excited to share my FAVORITES from the week with y'all today.   Erika, Narci and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us and if you're linking up with us make sure you grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and share your own Friday Favorites post.

First up is this super cute craft that Griffin made at school.  FAVORITE snowglobe ever!

Griffin's class has been studying states of matter and they did super cute experiments throughout the unit like making and melting and evaporating a snowman (but out of ice), growing ice crystals and then on the last day their teacher brought in SNOW BALLS!!!  These Texas kids were SUPER excited for their Bahama Bucks snowballs and they got to throw them at the first grade teachers and Lower School principal - the best :)

Mason's FAVORITE activity has been making "creations" out of hot glue and popsicle sticks and when I went upstairs to see what he was building I found him like this...

... apparently making things out of popsicle sticks and hot glue is Gary Patterson's FAVORITE pastime as well :)

Here's a gratuitous photo of our FAVORITE #outsidecat...

And this girl's FAVORITE moment from a few Wild Week was getting to cheer at the all-school pep rally.  SO FUN!

I had no idea that picking up pecans at Dave's Grandma's house would be everyone's FAVORITE activity (but it WAS... who knew?!?!)...

some of my FAVORITE flowers brightened up my classroom this week...

... and  this mug has been on heavy rotation because that floral is a FAVORITE!

Griffin's teacher posts lots of pics to her website every week and catching glimpses of G doing her thing during the school day is my FAVORITE.

This meme cracked me up because it's SO TRUE!!!  I have sprayed my classroom down 75 times this week...

I was talking with a friend this week about basketball and reminiscing about a few things and had completely forgotten about this picture but I don't know how I could have forgotten because HILARIOUS! WHAT on earth was he even looking at?!?!  FAVORITE!

It was costume day this week for Griffin's jazz/hip-hop class (her FAVORITE day!) and I couldn't even get her to stand still because she was FEELING the costume choice this year :)  That's a sequined leo under some tie dye overalls... yes, ma'am.  They have tall socks and a sequin bow and they'll wear it with converse high tops.  I can't even deal.   Her ballet teacher was out sick this week so she has to wait until next week to get her ballet costume but she can't hardly wait!

Super Bowl is on Sunday and I am HERE FOR THE SNACKS!!!  We keep our Super Bowl super low key and usually just hang out with my dad, make too much food and fall asleep on the couch but I'd be remiss if I didn't share a few of our FAVORITE Super Bowl foods...

If it's hearty, snacky or something that doesn't constitute an actual meal on any other night of the year it's fair game over here ;)

HAPPY FRIDAY, friends!

  1. I love the joy that is captured in all the kiddos faces throwing those snowballs! How great to enjoy snowballs without winter hats, ski pants, coats, & gloves!

    1. YES! Snowballs without all the snow gear :) Although, we'd be okay with a few days of snow gear around here!
