Christmas Decor Part 2

Today I'm wrapping up my Christmas decor home tour and showing you the downstairs.  I didn't change up too much from last year but I feel like everything looks so much better with the fresh paint we had done this summer.

We put our tree in the living room again this year and I LOVE it because we can see it from pretty much everywhere downstairs and it just fits the room really well.

This tree has allllll of our family ornaments and it's a big mix of homemade, souvenirs, etc.

I mean... there's Dwight Schrute next to a precious handmade toddler ornament :)

And yes... there are wrapped presents under the tree because I shop early and if I don't wrap them I"ll give them to people too early :) hahaha

I added a few nativities to the bookshelf...

I added a few garlands going up the stairs...

... and switched out the wall art for an O Holy Night sign.

In the office I added a garland and a few special vintage ornaments that belonged to my grandparents.

I kept things pretty similar to years past in the dining room...

Ignore the overflowing blanket situation in the family room - it's a losing battle :)

This was before half the lights on my mantle went out. hahaha

I bought the stockings at Nordstrom last year and the letters are super old from Pottery Barn.

And just in case you're debating a fresh coat of paint at your house, here's our family room last Christmas...

I moved our "Santa photo tree" into the dine-in-area this year and am LOVING IT!

I took small photo frames from Hobby Lobby, added some wire to them and have Santa photos from every year on the tree (if you look closely at the picture above you can see the frame for this year's photo at the bottom of the tree - hahaha)

The centerpiece has our Giving Manger and a tree stand where we hang the advent books we read at dinner.

I didn't add much in the actual kitchen...

... Christmas dishes are out...

... and probably my FAVORITE thing this year is this mouse nativity.  Growing up my brother and I (for whatever reason) started giving my mom little mice collectibles.  She always kept them in a glass curio cabinet in our dining room and I can remember going to this little gift shop with my dad and buying her the pieces of this set over the course of a few Christmases.  She passed it along to me this year and I ADORE IT!!!

I LOVE a Christmas mug and love having them out for tea and hot chocolate.

And last, we have a tree up in our bedroom which I absolutely ADORE!

It's flocked and SO PRETTY and I love having it on at night.

Speaking of that... the tree isn't pre-lit and this year I decided to use the large C9 lights and OH MY WORD.  I love it but y'all... it's bright :) hahaha

The ornaments are a mix of mercury glass ornaments and larger ornaments from Hobby Lobby.

And the extra ornaments I just put in this glass compote bowl.  I would LOVE a flocked garland for the dresser - but the one that matches our tree is sold out so that will have to wait until next year.
