Weekend Top 10

Today's weekend top 10 is actually a top 8 list because it was blissfully low key!

Bring a stuffed animal to music class day?!?!  She's on it.

We had a super fun mail day on Friday... capes and masks for the 5K arrived from Amazon and this pink dress came in from Taylor Joelle.  She was SET!!!

Saturday morning was the 3rd annual Manda Strong 5K and fun run and this year they added a super hero theme and y'all know we're not one to turn down a theme :)

We got there early to pick up our packets and help set up a bit and then Griffin and I headed to the turnaround (halfway point) where we were in charge of directing people and cheering them on.  We take our jobs VERY seriously...

... and we were sure to bring our motivational posters, purple pom poms, playlist and speaker and super loud cheering voices :)

Here they come!!!

The boys all ran the 5K and watching them run by and high five here was the sweetest.

We ran a couple of errands, dropped Mason off at a birthday party and then spent the rest of the afternoon outside playing.

One of our errands was a stop at Marshall's for gift tags and somehow this $4 puppy hat made it's way into our cart.  NOT MAD ABOUT IT!!!

Saturday night my dad stopped by for some snuggles and mini pumpkin cream pies.  That's a couch FULL, friends!

Sunday afternoon jumping...

I ended the night at the movies with my friend Natasha seeing Harriet.
HIGHLY recommend seeing it!!!  It was powerful and moving and inspiring.  Harriet Tubman was an INCREDIBLE woman and while I remember learning about her in school I was glad for the reminder about what an amazing person she was.  Now I'm looking for a good biography of her to read!

Happy Monday, friends!!!

  1. Have you heard of the Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales series for kids? There is a Harriet Tubman one that I bet Luke would enjoy. It's really good!

    1. I second this! My kids LOVE these books and the author doesn't sugarcoat history, which I think is sometimes good for kids.

  2. Love the super hero capes & masks. And Jack Bauer's hat is just too much! Too, too cute!
