Weeked Recap

Friday was Grandparent's Day and it was such a great one.  Every single kid got to come to the mic and say their name and what they're thankful for and then each grade sang a song about being thankful.  It was so sweet but I'm having a hard time thinking about it being Luke's last one!  It's an elementary-only program and this time next year he'll be in middle school!  EXCITING!!!

The Senior Economics fair was happening on Friday and typically the groups of 2 or 3 create something (baked goods, wood crafts, etc.) to market and sell to students, staff and grandparents.  Well, this year one group had almost a "petting zoo situation" but with lab puppies.  They were PRECIOUS and tried to crawl inside my jacket - cutest ever.

Friday afternoon I got to stop by Luke's classroom and see the ornament he made for his English teacher's tree.  How fun is that?!?! They all made book covers!

I did approximately zero things after school on Friday except for taking a nap :)  But I was up bright and early on Saturday morning to deliver food to Narci's house for DNow Weekend.

Back at home I put our own breakfast casserole in the oven and got ready for Mason's friends to come "surprise pickup" him and take him to their birthday party :)  Mason had no clue that there was even going to be a party on Saturday morning so we had a change of clothes packed and ready and his friends got to our house while he was still sleeping, woke him up (with music playing!), gave him a shirt to put on and they were out and in loaded into the party bus in I swear about 3 minutes :)  They made the rounds to surprise pickup the other boys, went to get donuts and then played laser tag.

It was hilarious and so much fun and Mason said it was hands down the best party ever.

Saturday afternoon, Griffin and I headed to Vintage Market Days in McKinney and had so much fun!  We shopped, browsed, ate and had such a sweet time together.Griffin

Griffin fell in love with a black beauty Breyer horse and watching her carry it around the rest of the day was the sweetest.

Notice the letter on their jerseys? :)

There was a TON to see and Griffin was all about it.  My mom and I spent lots of weekends just like this growing up and I absolutely love that Griffin and I get to do that together now, too!

Saturday afternoon the kids and I started decking the halls...

... starting with the playroom because it's everyone's favorite :)

Saturday night I was still decorating while we switched between watching the TCU football game and the Sandlot :)

Sunday morning looking WAY TOO BIG!

And then Sunday afternoon we decorated the "big tree" downstairs :)

It was such a fun and full weekend and we are so excited to have the week together!!!

Happy Monday, friends!!!
