Which Way to Witch School

I picked up  Which Way to Witch School on Amazon and we've read it at least once a day every day since then.  It's super cute and is probably Griffin's favorite Halloween book.  The book makes us giggle and the illustrations are entertaining.... and it rhymes which we love.  She's going to be a witch for Halloween and is into ALL things "witch" right now which is cracking me up because when I was her age I was OBSESSED with the Dorrie the Witch book series.

This past weekend the weather was PERFECTION so we brought our watercolors outside for a super easy witch hat art project.  I brought out the crayons and we talked a little bit about "watercolor resist" and how the crayon wax essentially "resists" the watercolor paint and I encouraged them to draw stars and other designs and then paint directly over the crayon to watch the "magic" happen :)

We used liquid watercolor paints for the first time and it was a good time of color mixing, tinting, etc.

Super easy but such a cute result.

I also drew out a couple of  additions to last year's Halloween Doodle Town...

... including a witch school :)

You can download the original Halloween set  HERE and the two new ones  HERE.

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!
