Weekend Top 10

Friday kicked off with the first Big DOGS meeting of the year.  It's the 5th grade discipleship program and I am SO EXCITED that my schedule worked out for me to be able to be a group leader.

Luke went to a birthday party Friday night and I don't have any pictures of him because I was on pickup duty and didn't stay for the party BUT he said it was AMAZING and he's begging me to go back so if you're local and your kids love this kind of thing he recommends Ninja Nation in Frisco :)

Friday night mood.  THE BEST.

And Saturday mood :)  For real though.

Saturday Mason had some friends over and they were BEGGING to have a baking competition.  I was trying to figure out a way to have all of them bake something without having to go to the store and so we settled on banana bread three ways...

They had to random draw to decide which pan theirs would bake in and I let them add chocolate chips and sprinkles in :)

While the banana bread cooled we headed out for pizza...

... and when we got back it was time for "plating and presentation" :)

And my dad graciously offered to taste all the breads. hahaha  We didn't have to pull his arm too hard since banana bread is his favorite.

Sunday afternoon lunch with these two cuties...

... and then we headed to Mason's first flag football game of the season.  He's LOVING football and we love watching him play.

The rest of Sunday we spent putting together some furniture for Luke's room, organizing and cleaning.  We;re still waiting for his bedding to come in (And this pic is AWFUL! hahaha) but he is SO EXCITED.   He's been very opinionated (which I've loved!) and seeing how excited he is is the absolute best.  I'll share once it's finished and put back together :)

Happy Monday, friends!!!

  4. Did you sell Luke's old bed? The reason I'm asking - we have the same bed for my 12 year old daughter, and she is BEGGING to get a different bed. I'm wondering how difficult or easy it will be to unload the current bed first.

    1. I did! I listed it on FB marketplace and joked that I must have listed it too cheap because I had about 80 messages (no exaggeration) within the first few hours
