What's up wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!

Sunday night I made a chicken alfredo pasta dish and on Monday night I had meetings at school and  so it was leftovers on the fly.

Then, last night it was a crowd favorite... pork chops, mac and cheese and roasted broccoli.

And I've been eating way more garlic and herb Boursin cheese than I care to admit.  I slice up some Persian cucumbers and throw in some tomatoes and it's my absolute favorite.

Homecoming is in a couple of weeks and it always has me reminiscing about when Dave and I started dating TWENTY YEARS AGO.  Twenty years, y'all.  I was a 15-year-old sophomore and Dave was 16 and a junior and we met in marching band.  It's all history from there :)  You can read more about how we met, how we got engaged and everything in between in  THIS POST.

The picture below was on Senior night about a year after we started dating.

These cute dresses from Walmart!  They're in the toddler girls section and they are absolutely PRECIOUS!!! They're under $10, have pockets and I feel like they run a bit large because Griffin can fit into the 5 and while they're a tad on the short side they're not too bad.

This mustard color has my heart and the dainty little floral print is so pretty.

This stripe option is SO GOOD!!!

And who doesn't love a pocket!

They also had  this sweet little tulle dress that is SO PRETTY and comes in a ton of colors.  The 5 fit Griffin with plenty of room so I'd say they run a bit big and the best part is the price!

So many cute girl options right now at Walmart!

And since were talking about Walmart... these jeans have the boys SO EXCITED because they're soft and SO COMFY!  We're nowhere near jeans weather yet, but when we are they'll be stocked up and ready for jeans at school on Fridays!

Just all the normal things!  Life has been busy and full and we're all hitting the pillow hard at night (or in the afternoon in between school and dance class) :)

The weather was SO SO SO NICE yesterday.... like a high of 80 in weeks of 100+ degree temperatures.  Today is supposed to be nice as well but I'm dreading the heat coming back!

Picking a few of y'all who commented on  Monday's post to send a little "happy" to.  I'll add the winners to the bottom of that post today!

Funny story - these pretty flowers were one of my "happies" and I was so bummed when I came home on Monday and they were totally dead... turns out it's helpful when you add water to the vase.  Sigh.

A few of my FAVORITE dresses are 40% off right now!

If you haven't read  The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel I HIGHLY recommend and I recently picked up these  Case for Christ for Kids books and they're equally awesome!

Can't Stop.  Won't Stop.

Dresses, dresses and then more dresses.

Any guesses?!?! ;)

So many things!  Mainly cooler mornings and evenings - lots of family walks after dinner and some apple cinnamon scented baking :)  I was looking for a picture of the kids on a walk and came across this one from two years ago - those piggies!!!

I've started meal planning and I feel like a new woman.  A new woman who isn't running to the grocery store 5 nights a week.  Last week kicked my TAIL and this week I'm totally on my a-game.  PRAISE HANDS!

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!

  2. I REALLY hope you saved that Texas shirt of Griffin's and haven't sold it yet...I've stalked it in each of your Griffin's closet sales and haven't seen it yet so I'm hopeful. Baby girl will be home with us this fall and I'm already buying ahead...the Texas shirt is a must ; )

  7. Ive given the The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel to friends who have doubted the validity of the crucifixion and resurrection. It opened the door for some really great conversations. It's SO good and SO impactful! Thanks for sharing!!
