Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!  I'm not sure about your house but at our house this week has been a WHIRLWIND!  Alllll kinds of fun things but a whirlwind nonetheless.   Erika, Narci and I are all sharing our FAVORITES from the week and we'd love for you to grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and share your favorites post as well.

I kicked off "love week" with this "Love is in the air" shirt and I was cracking up before even leaving the house because Griffin kept saying, "But WHY is there a picture of that man on your shirt?!?!"  I work with several Office lovers (in fact one had on a Dwight shirt as well!) and had so many kids comment with an Office quote :)  I paired it with  these bangles and  these earrings (still on sale) as well as some MJ ruffles and a denim jacket.  Easy.

I have no idea who Emma Knight is (a friend at school shared this with me and she saw it on a "teacher funnies" facebook account) but she's pretty much my hero.  I laughed SO HARD at this and it was a FAVORITE of my week.

Leftover cookies from my trip to La Madeline with Luke were a FAVORITE afternoon treat...

... and all the kids around the table working on Valentines was a favorite.  I know that the days of having all three of them doing valentines are numbered so I'm trying to soak it in ;)

This years valentines turned out so cute!

Griffin starts soccer this weekend and her excitement over her new gear was a FAVORITE.  She was so pumped and we can't wait to cheer on her team!

"Mommy... look how fast I am in my cleats!"

While balloons are one of my FAVORITE easy ways to add a festive touch, getting them from the store to my house is NOT a favorite.  Anyone else???  And how do the strings get so tangled in such a short amount of time?

Mason brought home his "sloppy copy" of a short story he's been working on and his illustrations and emphasized words are still my FAVORITE part of his writing.

When I saw the v-day cookie order form from Say Anything Bakery with this Friends cookie set on it I knew I had to order it for a mom friend at school.  Possibly my FAVORITE cookies ever!

My FAVORITE second grader selling val-o-grams earlier this week...

... and my favorite kindergartener working hard on her craft during her party yesterday.

After helping in G's party I was able to swing through both of the boys parties.

Luke and a bunch of his friends had already gotten out the glasses and tattoos he gave out :)

And last, but not least - all three kids looked so cute in their Valentine's shirts yesterday and it was too dark to grab a picture before we left home and when I was helping them get out of the car at school I accidentally smacked Griffin in the face setting off a chain reaction of drama.  I thought I had the situation under control and tried to rally the troops to take a quick picture and I got this...

... tears, nobody looking and general indifference.  Such is real life :)  I'm happy to report that Griffin fully recovered, Mason did not in fact die of embarrassment brought on by his sister crying and I still made it to my classroom for tutoring before carpool even started.

This weekend we have soccer practice, a football game, soccer game, two birthday parties and some fun family time planned.  We have Monday off (YESSSSS!) and we're excited about some great weather and time as a family.

Happy Friday, friends!!!

  1. HaPpy BirtHdaY, Andrea! What a great post after such a busy week! Griffin is looking so grown up in her soccer uniform--she looks happy & ready to go. Those cookies are the cutest. You are so wise to know that the time the 3 kiddos making Valentines (or doing any activity together like that) passes so fast--it's good you know how precious that time is---it so is! Sounds like you have a BUSY weekend & I hope your family has lotsa fun & that somewhere in there you get to celebrate your BD, too!

  10. Looks like you had a blast celebrating the holiday! It's fun to celebrate as a family and yes we once had a balloon disaster when the balloon flew out the opposite door. The pressure change sucked it right out, there were tears!!!
