Halloween Decor

Happy October, everyone!  I'm going to be honest - some years I am GIDDY about pulling out all of my boxes and putting out ALLLL the Halloween things and other years I'm not feeling it as much.  This is one of my "off" years and so I kept things simple and a little more black and white than orange.  Come take a look!

Y'all know I can't resist a tiered stand and this large one (from Homegoods) gives me lots of decorating options :)  I added  these plates, a pumpkin,  the best fall candle of all time and a jar of pumpkin granola to the plants that are on there normally...

On the counter I added a paper bat (I found mine!!!) to some leftover wedding flowers (thanks, Dave!) and put out  a little pumpkin cocotte with caramels (my favorite Fall indulgence) inside.

And the  large pumpkin dutch oven (on MAJOR sale!) resides on my stovetop all Fall because #festive AND it's perfect for all the Fall foods :)

My FAVORITE Halloween decoration is this plate that the boys made years ago...

The kids love the Pottery Barn Kids halloween plates and I keep out these paper straws out for them as well...

In the family room I added a few banners to the mantle and changed the wreath...

The felt banners ghosts and spider web pennants are Homegoods finds, the black felt balls I bought on Etsy and strung on embroidery floss and the bats are ones that I cut out several years ago and I just taped them onto embroidery floss.  Y'all!!! I found the ghost garland HERE!!!

The little nook next to the fireplace I styled with a haunted house (Homegoods find), faux topiary,  galvanized jack-o-lantern and Halloween tree (Tuesday morning find YEARS ago).

The little tree is one of my favorite things EVER.  I added Dollar Tree crows to it and it's something I pull out every year.

The haunted house had an LED light in it that no longer works so I have one of these puck lights in there that I can turn on with a remote control at night.

I found my pillow at Market Street, but you can find them  HERE as well.

I usually have a plain magnolia wreath attached to the mirror above the mantle but when I found this one at Homegoods I loved the subtle fall details and larger size.

Can you spy the hiding child??? :)  And the Happy Haunting pillow is HERE.

On my side table next to the sofa I have more leftover wedding flowers with bats :)

I kept  the console table pretty simple...

... and let this  large galvanized jack-o-lantern be the centerpiece.  Pretty much everything else is from Homegoods :)

And on the coffee table I have this small sign by  Vine and Branches.  If you have tiered stands her small size signs are PERFECTION!

This tiered stand is my FAVORITE to style and I kept it black and white this year which I'm loving. The plant on the top is a real fern and the one on the bottom is faux from Homegoods.

The black and white measuring pieces (note the broken handle on the small measuring cups - I seriously almost cried!) are from Anthropologie and you can find the black and white pumpkin  HERE.

I kept it super simple in the dining room and just added a few velvet pumpkins...

I kept it simple and Thanksgiving appropriate as well in the living room with some knit and faux leather pumpkins...

And added a trick-or-treat sign to the entry table.  And yes... that plant is out of control.

I added a teeny touch of Fall in the office with a couple of ticking pumpkins I found at Hobby Lobby.  Done!

So there you have it!  Fall/Halloween at our house :)  The kids have been decorating their rooms with some of the pumpkins I didn't put out and we have some plans for the outside of our house that I'll share in the next week or so.

In the meantime you can shop some of my favorite Halloween decor items below...

Question: Do you know if the capri pumpkin candle from Nordstrom is the same as the one at Anthro? They maybe look just a little different online. Thanks :)

    1. Awwww! Thank you! I believe they're the same... there are two different fall scents... the apple one comes in a gold jar and the pumpkin in the orange... maybe that's the difference?

  7. I'm having a bit of trouble getting excited about decorating for Halloween this year too! I've had a black scarf on my mantle for about a week and haven't added anything to it! lol This post gets me a little bit motivated to finish up.
