Happy Friday, friends! This week has been a great one - busy busy busy but lots of fun things. Activities are in full swing, I've hit my groove at school and Fall is in the air (kind of). :)
Erika, Narci and I are sharing our FAVORITES and we'd love for you to join us! Simply grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and link your own Friday Favorites post below.
At the top of my FAVORITES list is the return of what I lovingly refer to as "Saturday Style". I am ALL ABOUT an oversized sweater, comfy pair of jeans and shoes that can take me from Mason's football game to Trader Joe's and then out to lunch (that sounds like pretty perfect Saturday, right???). Nordstrom is my go-to place to pick up pieces for my weekend wardrobe because I REALLY don't have time to go into the store during the school year and I love that I can order things, have them shipped for FREE and easily send back what doesn't work out (which usually isn't much!) They have a great selection of items from my FAVORITE brands and it's just a great one-stop-shop.
I LOVE this gray sweater! It works with jeans but is long enough to wear with leggings. It's warm but light (without being clingy) and I adore a funnel neck. See... perfect legging length. #praisehands I'm wearing a small and feel like it fits like it's intended to which is oversized. If you want a closer fit you could easily size down. This sweater quickly made it's way into the keep pile! It comes in several colors including a terracotta color that I ADORE!
These are the jeans I'm wearing - and I tend to have really good luck with this brand and you can't beat the price.
Years ago I had these shoes in a different color way and I was excited to see them available at Nordstrom! They are sooooo comfortable and I think that they look great with jeans and leggings.
I grabbed this shirt in two different colors and while I ADORE the ruffles and softness of the fabric I'm on the fence simply because I feel like it's a little wide around the neck and I'd need a good tank top underneath it. If you have a good layering tank recommendation send it my way! If I do decide to keep one it'll probably be the cream color. While I love the purple I'm always excited about a good white top.
This pullover is the epitome of cozy! From the funnel neck, slouchy fit and great Fall color it's pretty much my ideal Saturday shirt :)
My little shadow wanted in on my outfit pics :)
Last, but not least - this henley is THE BEST!!! I have it in several colors and have worn the MESS out of them and they still look fantastic! This is an old picture (please don't let me grow my hair this long again, k???) but the top is DARLING!
You can shop my "Saturday Style" below! I made sure to include my favorite leggings as well as a couple of hats because y'all know that I'm going to be sporting a baseball cap on a Saturday!
Okay... on with the list :) Next is up this cutie working on his "mad minute" after school. His little focused face is my FAVORITE!
My FAVORITE plants are getting some new leaves and it's making my #plantlady heart so happy!
Can you EVEN get over how tall this tree has gotten???
This was the same plant in July of 2016 - so crazy!
I grabbed these leggings at Marshall's for $6 (including a cat ear headband - hahaha) because I thought Griffin would get a kick out of them and they're officially her new FAVORITE item of clothing :)
We may be seeing a LOT of these little halloween kitties and puppies over the next month and a half!
Griffin had to draw a picture of her and someone who was taller than her and she picked Luke - FAVORITE art from the week!
And speaking of art... Mason has been really into drawing similar pictures but in different "color groups"... warm colors, cool colors, contrasting colors, etc. Everything rainbow on the fridge is courtesy of Griffin.
I have a new FAVORITE treat - get yourself to Trader Joe's ASAP because these are INCREDIBLE!!!
I took half in my lunch and it was to die for! And yes... I love a YumBox as much as (if not more than!) my kids. This was lunch and a snack (or two) for me.
Have your kids been watching Story Bots on Netflix?? It's my FAVORITE kids show to date! If you haven't checked it out you need to - it's fun and entertaining and full of lots of great info.
I'm going to brag for a second because look who's in FIRST PLACE in the fantasy football league! That would be me! I am laughing so hard because I have no clue what I'm doing and reveling in this week 1 victory because it's probably going to be the high point of the season for me :)
Happy Friday, friends! This weekend we have a flag football game (fingers crossed it doesn't get rained out!), lots of homecoming week prep and a cheer clinic for Griffin. Dave has to work a BUNCH so I'm anticipating we'll hit up a couple of our FAVORITE drive-thrus as well :)
Before I go I wanted to tell everyone who's currently being or is about to be affected by Hurricane Florence that I'm praying for you! I spent MANY MANY MANY weeks on North and South Carolina beaches and I'm so sad for the devastation that's taking place. If you have a specific prayer request please leave a comment and/or send me an email so I can pray for you!
PS - Thank you so much to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. It's always a pleasure to work with a company that I love so much and appreciate them partnering with me. This post contained affiliate links and as always I so appreciate y'all reading and supporting my blog!
You are a cozy expert, and I absolutely love that first sweater!
ReplyDeleteJust 2 quick things (although I love Friday Favorites- it's such a fun thing every Friday!): 1. Your hair is gorgeous and you can pull off that length quite well. 2. Target used to make a great white Merona tank top and I have a ton of them but I share them with my girls and they're pretty dingy now. They discontinued them though! If anyone has a good replacement, I'm all ears. They are the thicker tank style, kind of a cotton blend and would go down to 2 for $10 from time to time. So bummed that they replaced them!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute pieces for fall! I am sharing my favorite fall trends today! Have a great weekend.

I love that you're in first place in the fantasy league. I, too, would NOT know what I'm doing. My husband has had me fill out brackets before, and I've always either picked the team name I like the best or I've picked the team colors that are prettiest. Also, your team name is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! I love all the Saturday looks. Our dress code at the school I work at is really picky for teachers so I look forward to my Saturday wear as well. I loved my distressed jeans and comfy top with tennis shoes. I love all your looks. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteCan you link the first sweater??
ReplyDeleteCan you please link the adorable pumpkin garland hanging from your mantle?! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post...love the outfits. I think it's hysterical that you're in first place for the fantasy football league...way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I LOVE that you are in first place for the fantasy football, haha! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteMy kids love story bots too! I honestly didn't realize it as a new show! I am going to have to get the FP Henley!
ReplyDeleteThe purple and white tops look so good on you! I purchased tank tops from Target recently and their nice and long and are perfect for layering. I LOVE that you are in first place in your fantasy football league! Your name is the BEST!
ReplyDeleteYay, for Here for the Snacks! I love it;). Cozy Saturday style for the win! Happy Weekend, Andrea!
ReplyDeleteI got those cat leggings for my daughter a year or 2 ago, but they are red. I don't know if they fit her anymore. They are so cute & it's cool that they come with headbands.
