Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!!!  I'm going to share a few of our FAVORITES from the week and if you'd like to join me,  Erika and  Narci in sharing you can add your link at the bottom of this post.

A HUGE cold front is moving in today which has me extra excited to talk about a few of my FAVORITE Christmas gift ideas from Nordstrom.  These gifts are ideal for moms, friends, a gift exchange with friends at work, sistser-in-laws, etc.  As always the free shipping and great customer service wins me over every time ;)

I LOVE Capri Blue Volcano candles and I think  this pink jar is SO pretty and fun.  I think you could easily tie a big black and white gingham bow on the top with a little piece of greenery (or Christmas ornament!) on it and you wouldn't even need to wrap it.

I have  this pretty little weekly list desk pad and use it ALL THE TIME!  It's $12 and would be great solo or with a package of the recipients favorite pens tied to it with ribbon.   This would be great for a gift exchange at work!

I'm a huge fan of philosophy products and  this Christmas Cookie shower gel smells AH-MAZING!  You can also use it as a shampoo and bubble bath and the bottle is huge!  It's under $20 and comes in several other holiday scents that look great.  I think this would be a great gift for a SIL or friend and would be so cute with a little bath pouf attached to it.

Illume makes some of my favorite holiday candles and I love  these little sets of 3 mini candles.  The box is so pretty and the set would make a really nice hostess gift...

... they come in these pretty mercury glass jars and while the set would make a great gift you could totally take the candles out, tie a pretty ribbon on them individually and have a great little $12 gift.

Next up is  this set of notebooks by Rifle Paper company.  They're $15 for a set of three and would be a great stocking stuffer (as the set or individually) and they're unlined which I love.

You could even pair  a notebook with one of the illume candles from the set and have a really thoughtful gift for under $20.

There are so many other cute gift ideas available right now and I've linked them below along with the ones I mentioned above...

The socks are by Barefoot dreams (think blardigan for your feet!), the scarf is under $15 and is one I reach for all season long (PERFECT gift!), I've had at least 3 people recommend the hair ties to me and how nice would the dark chocolate champagne bears be as a hostess gift!

I'm planning on sharing lots of gift guides/ideas over the next couple of weeks and hope you enjoyed a few of my picks for some of the women on your lists.  Thank you so much to Nordstrom for partnering with me on this post!!!

Next up are these three huge pumpkins just waiting to be carved!  We've typically done "pizza and pumpkins" and carved our pumpkins in the evening... but we've been so busy this week we're thinking of making it pancakes and pumpkins and carving them on Saturday morning.  Either way, carving pumpkins is one of my FAVORITE Halloween traditions.

In case you've been wondering how our FAVORITE Baylor Bear is doing...

... she's living her best life at school :)  I mean - how FUN is that?!?!  And she was happy to report that Chip and Joanna (especially Chip) were so nice!

If you've watched my instastories over the last month or so chances are you've heard me talk about the hole in our yard.  Here's the short version in case you missed it... we had a leak of some sort in our yard and had a back and forth with the city, several plumbers and sprinkler repairmen (including a discussion of jackhammering our driveway) and the city finally claimed the leak as "theirs" (as in - it was part of the city line and not the part that connected the city line to our house) and it got repaired this week.

It's a little bit nerve wracking when you get a text with this parked at the bottom of your driveway...

... and then these pics later...

But having everything fixed and NOT having to have our driveway torn up was definitely a FAVORITE moment from the week.

Last, but certainly not least - Jellybean Jones!!!

I was at school on Monday when the cross country coach showed up with a barn kitten from his farm that needed a home.

The next thing I knew this teeny girl was in my lap in the car heading home...

And she fell asleep and I almost cried from the sweetness :)

She's itty bitty and absolutely precious and the kids ADORE her.

This was when they were meeting her for the first time ;)

Mason picked out her name (and no... it's no relation to Archie comics or Riverdale... I don't think Mason knows about either of those - hahaha) and it suits her well.  She's going to be an outdoor cat, but for now is hanging out in the garage when we're not home.  When we're outside she ventures out with us and we've spent more time out in the garage playing with her this week than we have doing anything else :)  The kids set up her little bed/house and listening to them talk about it and get it all ready was just about the sweetest thing ever.

Despite having a cozy spot for herself, her favorite spot is snuggled up in this bin - preferable when it's filled with the kids hoodies :)

It's been another busy week and while we have a few things on the agenda for this weekend (football pictures, dinner with family, etc.) we're most excited to get everything ready for Halloween!

Happy FRIDAY, friends!!!

  15. Well you can pick out a present for me anytime, Andrea. I love all of your picks. I'm a huge Capri Blue fan and that pink container is adorable. How cute would it be in a girls bathroom?! It's hard not to fall in love with a baby kitty. My brother found one last year when we were visiting our parents (you should show your kids the pics in this post http://coasttocoast2.blogspot.com/search?q=kitten) Have a great weekend!!!
