Show and Tell Tuesday has been pushed to tomorrow!!! We'll be linking up and sharing what's in our bags :)
Back to school this year has also meant back to the lake! My parents bought their lake house last Fall and we can't wait to enjoy it with them more as the weather cools down. We were there over Labor Day weekend and had the BEST time! The kids joke that they go to "real school" during the week and "lake school" on the weekend where they learn to fish, shoot their bb guns, do archery, tend a fire, roast hot dogs and catch minnows :)

Luke is driving the boat now along with solo kayaking and hopefully he and Mason will be taking a canoe out together this Fall.
CUTIE ready to fish!
Last month I partnered up with KEEN to review their Hikeport shoes for boys and I can't say enough great things about them. The boys have loved wearing them to school (they love the pull on style and how easy they are to tighten) and they were the absolute perfect shoes to have with us at the lake because they're waterproof!
The boys were in and out of the boat, collecting minnows on the shore and their socks were dry at the end of the afternoon!
The waterproof feature also proved helpful at the end of the day when we were able to spray/wipe the mud off of them without having to wait for them to dry.
Griffin LOVES her some sparkle and KEEN came through for her as well with these high tops.
They're not waterproof like the boys pairs, but they're so cute, she can pull them on by herself (YES!) and they have natural odor control (YES! again) :)
My FAVORITE pictures from our day at the lake are these next ones of Griffin with the night crawlers :) Sparkly shoes, rainbow nails and hands full of worms!
After some time on the water we hung out on the porch while the kids played in the yard digging, carrying water up from the lake and rearranging the rocks in the dry bed.
Lake legs :)
And Luke told us about the fish he caught when he was out with Dave and my dad.
His story started out with the fish being thiiiiiiiiiis big...
... and ended with it being this big :)
It was such a great day at the lake and I love that the KEEN shoes that they wear in class and on the playground could handle the rocks, water, dirt and night crawlers :)

We love Keens! We typically get the ones that are more like water shoes (i.e., airy and open) and I've never thought about getting the Hikeport ones. We love lake days, so I can't wait to look into them. And the sparkly ones for my daughter - too cute!
