Today I'm partnering with Wet Ones® Hand Wipes to share an idea I've had for a while and was so excited to get to put together yesterday. My kids often talk about our "ice cream day" this past summer and how much they loved having ice cream for dinner and I thought that it would be so fun to surprise them with a full-on sundae bar after school! I made mine festive with pumpkins, stripes and such - but this could easily be done for just about any occasion (or none at all).
I wanted to use our kids table, but since it isn't in our kitchen any longer and I didn't want to host the party in Mason's room I moved it out front to this little "nook" on the side of our house.
I used my wooden tiered tray and loaded it up with some of their favorite candy toppings.
Gummy worms, candy corn, gummy bears, mini Reese's cups, brownie bites and whipped cream.
The kids were coming straight from school - so I had the Wet Ones out on the table as well for both pre and post-snack hand cleaning. Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are the convenient 2-in-1 way to wipe out dirt and messes and kill 99.99% of germs when soap and water aren’t readily available.... like when you're making ice cream sundaes in your front yard ;)
The black and white striped paper was a roll of wrapping paper I picked up at HomeGoods! Such an easy way to add a lot of character to the table for under $3. It also made cleaning up super easy!
And all the Texans said Amen ;) #allthebluebell
They're HOOOOOOMEEEE!!!!!
Cleaning up before digging in!
Time to indulge!
Clean fingers mean we can get hands-on with the candy!
Cutest little sundae surprise party!
Sugar is kicking in :)
Wet Ones® wipes come in this great portable package which is perfect to toss in your bag or purse without being super bulky. I love that I can keep them with me and not worry about the kids getting messy (because let's face it - they are ALWAYS getting messy!). For more information, visit www.WetOnes.com.
And that's a wrap! It was a short and extra sweet little afternoon for the kids. What's more exciting than ice cream sundaes loaded with your favorite candy? Ice cream sundaes loaded with your favorite candy before dinner :)
Happy Thursday, Friends!
