Happy Friday, Friends!!! It's been a lazy, but fun week around here! Lots of cute FAVORITES for you today :)
Erika, Narci and I ADORE hosting the Friday Favorites link-ups every week, but lately people have been posting TONS of random links. Like... links to 14 of your old blog posts from the past month... which makes it hard for people to find the actual Friday Favorites posts. PLEASE only link to your ONE Friday post ;) Thanks, ladies!
First up, my love for little girl bathing suits runs DEEP. I grabbed this one on a resale page for $5 and it's a new FAVORITE for sure. So cute! It's a little big, but I'm excited to get some wear out of it this season and next. My sunnies are always her FAVORITE ;)
That little smile :)
The kids are going to be in Dave's brothers wedding this Fall and we took the boys to get fitted for their tuxes this week. I can't WAIT to see them in October! I mean, if they're this precious now I can't imagine how stinkin' adorable they're going to look when they're in the actual tux :)
"Hey there, handsome!"
We laughed so hard at the kids in the mirror :) Apparently watching themselves dance is their FAVORITE.
Afternoons in the pool with my people are still a FAVORITE! Blue is not my FAVORITE color, but after all the compliments I got on snapchat when I posted a little video that showed me in this swim top I may have to start incorporating it into my wardrobe more often :)
We spent some time with our FAVORITE set of twins this week. First at our house...
(PS - GG drinking tea is my FAVORITE!)
When you're the only one ready for pics :) hahaha
... and then my boys went to their house. #bestdayever
Apparently Mason was a spy and NOT Spiderman. That kid is my FAVORITE ;)
So about a year and a half ago I chopped off 14" of hair and donated it...
I've been blessed with fast-growing hair and as soon I I chopped it off I knew I would grow it out again with the intention of doing another donation.
This past week I measured it and decided it was time because HOLY HECK IT'S HOT!!! :) Also, as convenient as it is to be able to throw it up in a top knot (and leave it there for days), it was taking a ridiculous amount of time to dry. Here I was on the way to the salon...
... and about an hour later!
I'm missing the convenience of the top knot but am LOVING the lightness. Once again I was told by another stylist that I have the thickest hair that they had seen in their entire career (I've been told this at least a dozen times) and so she thinned it out a TON which feels fabulous. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to grow it out and donate it again or maintain this length. We'll see!
This time I opted to donate to Panetene's Beautiful Lengths program and if you're interested in more info you can find it HERE.
While the boys were playing at their friends house on Wednesday, Griffin and I (and baby) hit up one of our FAVORITE places. Pretty sure the grocery store would be my FAVORITE too if someone pushed me around and I got to eat cheese, a cookie and a freshly made tortilla :)
And before we went into the store I snapped a picture to send to Dave and when I looked at I squealed because I happened to catch this! Love when you happen to snap that perfect moment - cute smile and actually looking at the camera. Win! Win!
I bought Griffin a stinkin' adorable pair of boots for Fall and they came in this week. It's going to be MONTHS before she actually gets to wear them, but they're still our FAVORITE ;)
Kisses!
This happened one evening and it was my FAVORITE moment from the week :)
With this moment a close second :)
We haven't done much "formal" crafting this summer. But watching them create on their own is a FAVORITE of mine...
GG is working a lot on cutting. She actually uses both hands (she's STRONGLY left for everything else) for cutting and so we're working on helping her practice with both.
and she is a big fan of glue :)
Luke worked on paper pockets to hold al kinds of things (X-Men cards, Legos and rocks to name a few)...
... GG worked on this (and about a dozen others like it)...
... and Mason's final creation made me smile BIG ;)
This view is my FAVORITE...
And here's another FAVORITE view. #getitdude
Luke and I have been doing some little experiments. Teaching him new things is so much fun and definitely a FAVORITE.
The picture below is kind of dark, but this new shade from Essie is my FAVORITE!
If y'all could keep two of our FAVORITE girls in your prayers this week they're in Kenya! We miss our Anna Grace and McKinley and can't wait to see how God works through them on their trip!
Griffin's FAVORITE dress? This one with dinosaurs :) Because #rawr
The Nordstrom Sale is everyone's FAVORITE and I found a few great things that you can check out HERE. ;)
And last but not least... how adorable are these nativity sets??? Meaghan at Heart and Home is doing a pre-order for them HERE and they'll ship in November. We're getting the big plush one for the kids playroom and I am so excited!
This weekend we have zero plans... well... we STILL need to finish clearing out our garage (OMG!!!), but other than that we have no plans. ;)
Happy Friday!!!

ReplyDelete1. I'll pass that message along to him - he'll eat that up :)
Delete2) Thank you!!! Apparently I need more of it in my life.
3) THANKS!!! But wait until you see my attempt to pull it up in a ponytail ;) hahaha
4) me too!!! Off the chart cuteness!
Your hair looks UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMAZING, you are DARLING in that blue swim top, and Griffin looked so old in that grocery cart pic!!!! I miss you, let's get a play date on the books!
ReplyDeleteThanks, girly!!! And YES!!! I'm texting you TODAY to set it up!
DeleteGigi is hands down THE cutest thing ever! So stinking precious!!!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Goodness. THANK YOU! So so so sweet :)
DeleteGG in her boots!! Oh my word! She is going to be precious this Fall!!
ReplyDeleteSo excited!!! I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of those boots :)
DeleteGriffin is looking so growny!! They are going to be so sweet in the wedding! Also, love your hair cut! The length looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
Isn't she?!?! It is so much fun to watch her grow!!! The wedding is going to be over the top cuteness :)
DeleteAnd thank you for the hair compliments! A new style takes some "adjusting time" and so I appreciate the sweet words!
Thanks again, April!!!
:) Andrea
Hi Andrea! Always see G's kids kindle in your pictures... We got one yesterday for our 3 year old. Could you share some of her favorite apps? Feeling overwhelmed over here! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! My kids only use FreeTime and they download and delete apps all the time. I know she likes the coloring apps and a few of the ones from Disney.
DeleteAlways such adorable photos! Your hair looks amazing! And yay to hair donations. Such a great cause.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the link up. I would love for you to come link up with me as well On the Edge of the Week.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you, Shelbee!!! ;)
DeleteGriffin's hand on the hip kills me! SO cute! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMe too!!! No clue where she learned that!
DeleteI seriously love your hair!!! It's the perfect cut for you, I'm sure you feel a bit lighter too ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso the boys look so cute getting fitted. What's kind of crazy is the same day you posted that pic, was the same day my boys got fitted for their tuxs as well. It's crazy how their little personalities transform when you put one of those jackets on them!!!
Thanks so much, Brooke!!! And yes... lighter for SURE!
DeleteWHAT?!?! We should have made it a group outing - I'm sure that would have been a blast :) hahaha
I love the photo of Griffin in the grocery cart....and they were so cute on your Snapchat - there are so many Griffin's!!! Haha.
ReplyDeleteThere were A LOT of Griffins in that moment for SURE! :) hahaha
Delete1. I love the cobalt blue on you. I noticed it on your Snapchat and thought it was a great color.
ReplyDelete2. The hair is so pretty. My hairdresser has to thin mine out a bit, too. How did you get the curl in it after it was just cut? I'd like to try something like that.
I just want to say, I love your sense of style. I gravitate toward many of the pieces that you have and appreciate your recommendations. You know what you like and you wear what you love and feel comfortable in. I think that is an important mindset for women today. Our hair and fashion sense are an extension of our personalities, and I think that expressing that shows how comfortable we are in the bodies that God gave us.
1) Thank you!!! I don't gravitate toward blue in general, but I'm second guessing that choice now :)
Delete2) The girl who styled it used a curling iron and the curls were pretty "beauty pageant" and so when I got home I used my flat iron and then ran my fingers through it to kind of rough it up a bit. My hair holds curl pretty well so the only product was a teeny bit of hairspray
3) THANK YOU!!! I so needed to hear this today :) Being a little "different" than the norm I tend to take a lot of flack which can be discouraging... but it's WAY too hard to be anything other than myself so I just do "me" :) hahaha
Thanks, Gretchen!
Girl, your hair looks FANTASTIC! I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteAnd GG asleep on the couch... Oh my goodness. So sweet.
THANK YOU!!! It's growing on me :) hahaha
DeleteDon't you wish you could sleep like that?!?!
Love your Friday Favorites posts! I especially love that it's all new, actual favorite stuff, not just links back to things you already posted this week!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! There's way too much to talk about than what I talked about earlier :) hahaha So glad you're enjoying the posts - thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment!
DeleteYour haircut is adorable!!! And that blue is definitely a winner on you. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the hair! The boys look adorable in the tux jackets and I love the pic of Griffin in the cart! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, girl!!! :)
DeleteI love your hair cut! It's so cute and looks so light! I've cut and donated my hair a few times and love doing it. One day I'd like to keep it short, but that day is not today. And Griffin in that shopping cart? Too cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of addictive, right??? Seeing how long it takes and then how fun it is when you do a big change?
DeleteYes, your hair looks fabulous and I love that you can donate it.
DeleteThose boys in tuxes? Swoon :) Your swim top and haircut are darling! How deep is your pool?
ReplyDeleteIt's 3.5 feet on the ends and goes to 5 feet in the middle. PErfect for playing :)
DeleteYour new haircut looks great! I love the way you styled it too. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but, I think it makes you looks more stylish and a little bit older (in a good way) 😀
ReplyDeleteYou mean I look like I have an ACTUAL hairstyle now and not just a huge mop of hair on my head??? :) I totally get what you're saying - way less "middle school girl". hahaha Thanks, Steph!!!
DeleteLove your new haircut !!!
ReplyDeleteThis is kind of a random question but do you mind sharing where you got Griffin's baby doll? I love that it looks like you can put a bottle or paci in it! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteSummer tired is the BEST kind of tired!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun week! It's always so hard to pick a favorite but I think GG dancing in the mirrors at the tux place in your snap chat is mine:).
