WIWW and some random tidbits :)

It's Wednesday and I'm trying my hardest not to lament the fact that Spring Break is half over :)  I've been loving all the time with our entire crew all together and am soaking in the sleeping late and having no papers to grade. hahaha

Yesterday I bragged about our love of Jameson Monroe and Chelsea, the owner, surprised me with a coupon code for y'all!  Get 20% off any order (including custom!) through this Friday with the code BABYG20

If you've seen a giant flower on G's head, chances are it's from Jameson Monroe :) hahaha
Exhibits A-C:

Next order of business is a Matilda Jane Promo!!!
If you'd like the doll outfit for $20 when you spend $150, email your wishlist to me (dave-and-andrea@hotmail.com) and my trunk keeper, Kat (katkempson@matildajaneclothing.com) by tonight.  This is only while supplies last, so we'll be checking out super duper fast.  If you have any questions on the ordering process, sizing, matches, etc. PLEASE don't hesitate to shoot me an email!

Lots of y'all commented on her sweet Sunday outfit.  She's wearing the Lake Queen Cardigan with the Seeing Spots Bennys and her shirt is MJ, but from an older line.   Her shoes are Mini Melissa Cats in soft pink, her bow is this one by Ruby Blue and her necklace is from Sprinklings.

And here are a few more outfits we've been loving from the new line.  Really, it's all gorgeous and so so so soft and you really can't go wrong with any of it.

The Lovely Life pants  are Matilda Jane as well and are my new favorite pants EVER.  They're so comfy and I can pull them up and wear them with flats, or wear them lower and pair with wedges.  I wore them all day yesterday and didn't change immediately upon walking in the door :)  I paired them with a super cute top from Griffin and Grace and even though my top is sold out, they always have lots of cute ones.

Another piece that I am loving from the Spring MJ line is this Marled V sweater.  It is soooooo soft and I love the way it drapes.  I've lounged in it as well as "dressed it up".  Here I am all loungey in it. hahaha

And I paired it with jeans and a baseball cap for the bus ride home from Houston last week.

Yes.... this is the face of a middle school teacher who just spent 36 solid hours with middle schoolers and puked her guts out at the hotel the night before.  Nothing a hat can't fix :) hahaha

And since we're talking about hats.... I get asked about mine a lot and I haven't been able to find it anywhere recently, but here are a few other cute options.

I wear my Texas hat all the time in the summer and more often than I'd like to admit on the weekend.

Next up are these boots by Bed Stu.  I actually blogged about these as a "wishlist" item FOREVER ago and when I found them on clearance on Amazon (Prime, baby!) I bit the bullet.

I loved the wedge heel, the slouchy sweater knit and I've found Bed Stu's quality to be unmatched.  My riding boots are by Bed Stu as well and they are amazing.

It was chilly and overcast on Sunday and so I paired them with my favorite sweater tights (years ago from Anthropologie), a super fun aztec print dress from Hippie Chick and a fun faux fur vest.

Here they are with jeans and the same vest last week...  They're fabulous!

And keeping it real.... a lot of the time this week I've looked like this :)  Today is yard work day (woo hoo for planting new flowers!) and I probably look like this this very minute.

And I rarely include my boys in style posts, but my goofy little man sported this adorable Boden shirt to the Perot on Monday.  He's wearing a 4/5 and he'll definitely be able to wear it this year and next as well.  And, as always, his shoes of choice.  I was just grateful that they matched :)  He's been picking two different colors lately and I typically let him run with it. hahaha

I hope y'all are getting to wear some Spring gear where you are.  We're hopefully getting lots of sunshine today - we're ready to get outside!

Happy Wednesday, Friends!!!

    1. You would totally rock those boots! They're a little bit country without being overtly country. Subtle country! Is that a thing? And I haven't laughed that hard in a looooooooooong time. I'm still not sure why I waved or why I fell on the floor.... but regardless it was fun :)

  3. I'm disappointed in how more of your posts are turning into "commercials".

    1. Hey, Mary! So sorry to hear you feel that way. I try to balance out "outfit" posts and prefer to do one every once in a while rather than intersperse outfits every day (my last one was February 18). I appreciate your opinion and would love to discuss it more with you, but unfortunately, you left your comment anonymously so I can't email you. If you'd like - feel free to email me at dave-and-andrea@hotmail.com

    1. Is not washing your face every day a secret??? If so, that's mine. hahaha :) I use moisturizer, but that's pretty much it. Maybe my secret is I don't mess with it very much? You are so so so sweet for saying that! :) Have a fantastic day!

  6. Boots are very adorable! Two questions about them...did you size up 1/2 size as many Amazon reviewers did and does boot color come off on clothes (a reviewer said there was warning about that but maybe that was just specific to black color)? Have a great rest of spring break.

    1. 1) I did size up.... I'm normally a 6.5 and I got a 7.
      2) I haven't noticed them rubbing off on my clothes.
      Hope that helps!!! :)

  7. I love your Judith March hat and went on the hunt for it over Christmas. I am embarrassed to say the amount of time I spent on the Internet trying to find one and finally succeeded! The shop is all sold out now, but I love your style and it is making me branch out and try new things because I see how cute they look on you! Enjoy the rest of the week with your kiddos. Our Spring Break is next week and I can't wait for the week off from work and a week to spend with the kids!

  8. Love all your posts. Mason reminds me a lot of my daughter Ashton-maybe it's a middle child thing?! I think she spent her entire middle school years wearing mismatched converse.

  11. Hi Andrea! Love your post (as always)! I'm in WA and we have to wait until mid-April for spring break...but I am already thinking spring shoes :) I have a question about the Natives. Do you buy true to size, size up, size down? We normally do crocs...but after 6 summers of those, I am ready for something new and stylish for my kids! Thanks.
