Friday Favorites - Getting back to normal edition :)

Happy Friday, Friends!  Wasn't it just Friday??? Oh wait.... there was a three day weekend, then I slept for two days and BAM - Friday again :)

I am ecstatic to resume blogging "business as usual" including Friday Favorites!

My very first FAVORITE of the week is Dave and my parents.... because when I was pretty much asleep for three solid days, they totally stepped in and filled my shoes and more.  Dave took care of everything and my parents both came by before and after school to help shuffle kids around and all that.  It was awesome.  So... shoutout to them! :)

Back in December I posted abut hos crushed that, once again, I had reached the series finale of my FAVORITE show of all time... Gilmore Girls.  It was a major loss for me :)  Which is bizarre considering how many times I've watched the entire show all the way through, but still.

Several of y'all left me comments with show recommendations to replace my beloved Gilmore Girls, and based on what was available on Netflix, what I hadn't watched and my apparent maturity level (hahaha) I settled on One Tree Hill.  Y'all.... it's cheesy, and melodramatic and full of angst and completely unrealistic teen drama, but I'm hooked.  I'm into Season 4 and there's already been multiple murders (and attempts), a school shooting, pregnancy scares, weddings, pill popping, long lost siblings and crazy stalkers.  It's awful and fantastic all at the same time.

Keep in mind that this isn't all I watch.... this is just what I watch while I work on Slightly Askew stuff on my computer :)  Dave and I have been LOVING us some winter TV including...

Celebrity Apprentice
Not sure why I love this as much as I do.... but I do.  #noshame

We've been Parks and Rec fans from the VERY beginning (we have a "I Saw Little Sebastian" refrigerator magnet if that tells you anything) and are so sad that this is the last season ;(
We're soaking it up while we can!

And I can't talk about it too much or else I might cry, but Parenthood.  It's the final few episodes and I'm not sure what I'm going to do without my Bravermans.  (who am I kidding... I'll watch the series over again on Netflix. Duh.)

Next up are my new FAVORITE necklaces from Stella and Dot!

When Bre got in touch with me a while ago and asked if I wanted to host an online trunk show for the Spring line I was ecstatic!  She sent me a few things to review and show y'all as a little preview as well! SO FUN!!

I LOVED all of the new engravable items and when I was picking out what I wanted on mine, I almost couldn't decide. Kids names, birthdays, our anniversary, a scripture passage, etc.  Finally, I settled on "Let It Go"   I talked about it being my motto for 2015 and I love having this as a reminder to relax :)

My plan was to get good photos of everything this week, but best laid plans :)  So, you'll have to settle for one of me in my blardigan and linty tank. hahaha  #reallife

The other engravables that I'm loving are this locked and bangle bracelet.  Y'all know I love a stack of bangles and this engraved one would fit right in :)

The other necklace that I was SUPER excited about was the Aria Pendant Necklace.

It layers super pretty and I love that you can take the bottom two layers off and just wear the single pendant as well.  Super versatile!  I've worn the short pendant and the Let It Go engraved bar almost every day since I got them in and am just as excited as I was when they came in :)

You may have noticed that there were four boxes and I only showed you two fun pieces - I'm going to style the others up right this weekend and reveal next week. I promise - they're GREAT!  You can shop my show HERE and send any questions you might have to bremarie_16@hotmail.com.

And just in case I haven't peaked your interest enough.... look at these AWESOME statement necklaces...

And this bag (which is expandable!) kind of has my name written all over it :)

Our new FAVORITE after dinner activity (thanks to Gibi and Haha!) is our nightly Talent Show :)

There's song, dance, puppy tricks, jokes and everything in between.  Something for everyone! :)

Griffin tends to be a "stage hog" and often has to be forcibly removed from the hearth...

... while this kid waits his turn (sometimes) to show us what he's got.

I'm not sure what this "talent" was, but it was entertaining!

On stage again, cankles, big ol' t-shirt and pink toes :)

Next up, one of my very FAVORITE people ever is back to doing her Bachelor recaps!!!
If you think Sheaffer is hilarious online, you should text with her sometime :)  I think some of my biggest and best laughs have happened with Sheaffer and I love that she gets to share some of her humor with the internet.  In all honesty, I really haven't watched the Bachelor faithfully in recent years.  I'll catch an episode here and there, but I'm not committed.  So trust me, you don't have to watch the show to think her recaps are the best.
My mom snapped this picture of my littles together at church on Sunday and seeing the way Griffin adores her big brother(s) is my FAVORITE!  She gets on their nerves and they aren't patient with her all the time - but for the most part - they dote on her and she's lucky to have such great older brothers.

So, what were your favorites this week??? Link up and share!

Be sure you're following me on Instagram (@andrea2220) because I MAY have a somewhat big surprise on Saturday afternoon :)  Yes, I'm a tease.

Thanks again for all your kind words this week... y'all know how to make a girl feel loved! :)

  10. Glad you're feeling better! I'm laughing to myself about One Tree Hill. I was OBSESSED with that show when it first came out, and I was a little older of a watcher than most. I have it all on DVD and have watched it SEVERAL times... I love Uncle Keith....

  14. One Tree Hill has always been a favorite of mine. I may or may not have spent countless weekends in high school overloading on cinnamon rolls and watching OTH episodes over and over. The Bachelor this season is a MUST WATCH!!! One of my dear friends Kara Grey was on it this season and got sent home the first night! ):

    Have a great weekend! (:

  16. I'm linking up for the first time!
Gilmore Girls is my absolute favorite show and I've watched it several times through. I haven't found anything to replace it, but I do love Parenthood. So bummed that one is ending, too. I have a feeling I'll be sobbing next week!

  21. Love, love, love the S&D pieces you showed! The engraveables are awesome! We gave our nieces the bar necklaces for Christmas and they loved them! I'm also super excited about the bracelets. Unfortunately, I've had a few friends move over the last couple of years and have given them bracelets with the latitude and longitude of their homes here - to remember where they came from and also a reminder to hurry back and see me! :) glad as&had (had to leave that in there - that's how spell check corrected S&D 😂) is giving me an option now too! Hope you have a restful weekend and glad you are feeling better!

  22. Eeeeeek, I couldn't even read the rest of the post once I saw you were watching One Tree Hill (I'll go back and read the rest in a minute), it's THE BEST show ever!!! Don't you just love it! OMG, it gets even better and better with each season, you are going to LOVE it! Now I am going to have to go and restart the season again cause it's been awhile! I love so many of the actors and actresses.....ok, I'm just a tad excited about this, hahahaha! Happy Friday and glad you are feeling better!

  23. I'm wondering how you learned graphic design? Did you study it in school? It's something I've always been interested in, but have no idea where to start.

  24. Gilmore Girls and Parenthood are my all time favorites too! I recently started binge watching The Good Wife and guess who's in it?! Matt Czuchry aka Logan Huntzberger! haha Glad you are feeling better!

  25. I just got my S&D engravable necklace last week, and I love it! I put my anniversary on it and I've worn it every day! Love that it's easy to layer! Glad you're feeling better!

  26. Glad to hear/see you are finally feeling better! That is awesome that your family is close enough they can help out ;)
I was and still am a huge Gilmore Girls fan, but One Treel Hill is probably my absolute favorite! I never missed an episode when it originally aired and I always an willing to watch it again :) Love it! Of course pure cheese when you watch a lot of them years later, but still a great watch! Another suggestion would be Friday Night Lights = AMAZING SHOW!!! And Parenthood is SO good! I think I start crying as soon as I hear the opening credits! lol! Sad to see it go, but like you said...there is always Netflix!
Love those new necklaces! I need to get that bar with some encouraging words for sure!
I have been thinking about having Xavier get up on our fireplace for some fun....totally stealing the talent show idea! That is perfect for him!

  27. Have you seen Friday Night Lights? It's by the same head writer as Parenthood, and it's just... absolutely positively fantastic. [And I hate football, so it's sooo not a football show.]

  33. I don't think I can watch One Tree Hill - my husband would flip, but I am so glad that I am not the only watching Celebrity Apprentice! I don't know what I am going to do when Parenthood ends next week.

  34. Girl, you have got it together! You have so much to offer as far as time management, organization skills and cooking on your blog. You put some of these other bloggers to shame. I am embarrassed for some of them when they post about what they do all day long. They couldn't handle your schedule. I am starting to think you are Superwoman!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. So many things I love in your favorites! Gilmore girls! I am currently watching the series again and loving it as much as the first time, if not more. I also get really sad when I think of parenthood ending. One of my very favorites and i just want to know more about the family (yes I know they aren't real). Those necklaces you ordered are both great! Those need to be added to my list! And the bachelor recaps are hysterical! So glad you are feeling better!! Have a great weekend!

  36. Gilmore Girls is my ALL-TIME favorite show ever! I am currently watching Season 1 of it for the 900th time while I walk on the treadmill every day. Holy cow, my workout time FLIES by and I end up watching 2 or 3 episodes at once! I also have been watching Grey's Anatomy (another favorite of mine) and Buffy (one of my husband's favorites so he's happy I'm checking it out). I will have to try out One Tree Hill! I have never been able to get into Parenthood because Lauren Graham to me is Lorelai Gilmore! She cannot be any other character to me! :) :) Glad you're feeling better!

  37. I LOVE gilmore girls! When I got my first teaching job, I didn't have cable or internet in my apartment for a year and I watched and rematches (and cried like a baby) all the seasons over and over! I just started watching one tree hill a few weeks ago (on my first snow day this season!!) but I'm only on season 2. Hooked me as well!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Love those Stella and Dot necklaces! How have I never watched Gilmore Girls or One Tree Hill??? And I'm in total denial that Parenthood is ending soon! I might need to watch some reruns of Six Feet Under to get my Adam Braverman fix...of course he was the much cooler Nate on that show...if you haven't watched that show, you need to! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Girl! One Tree Hill is where it is at! LOVED it. Never missed an episode! You will love it and you will be so sad when it is over!
