Past Couple of Days

Tuesday morning this crazy kid, in his brothers jammies, was up bright and early asking me for orange juice :)

Rather than cook breakfast, and since Dave had been at work since 6:30 a.m., I packed the kiddos up and we headed to the country club.

Pancakes, french toast and eggs - that I didn't have to cook, which makes it extra delicious :)

When we were done the boys went and picked up a golf cart and Griffin squealed REALLY REALLY loud in the lobby.  A lot.

Watching her brothers and daddy pull up in the golf cart...

... and waving at them as they drove up :)

Tuesday morning/afternoon we hung around the house and played, cleaned, all normal stuff.  It cracks me up when I get the vacuum out because Mason heads for the hills and G can't get close enough :)

She attempts to hug it while it's running... and yes... that's Mason fleeing the scene :)

Luke was busy playing Legos and Mason asked to watch his very favorite movie before nap time.  Yes - he's three and Elf is his favorite movie. hahaha

He kept telling me how "not tired" he was :)

I went in to check on Luke and found this...

Such a big boy!

Tuesday night I was out with some girlfriends, so Dave invited a couple of the other dads over :)

Yesterday mroning the boys were outside before 9 a.m.  I'm not sure what they were doing out there.... but around 11 I got called outside to come and look at this...

I'm not sure what purpose any of it played.... but apparently it was a city.

And yes... those are guns protecting the city and a mixing bowl from the kitchen that I was unaware was outside :)

While G was napping I got some project supplies prepped for the afternoon (eeeek!!! I'm so excited about both of these - I'll be sure to fill y'all in next week!)

We played some more, admired G's lashes...

... and had lots of silly smiles at lunch.

G helped me do some laundry...

... and the boys and I laid under the tree in the front yard and looked for birds nests (after getting the mail).

Last night, as soon as the littles were up and Dave was home, we headed outside to work on the yard.  Luke was teaching Griffin all about ninja weapons. :)

It's been a couple of low key and laid back days and they've been perfect! I feel like I MIGHT be getting the hang of the "summer" thing :)  Until next week when we have VBS and swimming lessons. hahahaha :)

Have a fantastic day!!!

  5. The pic of Mason running from the vacuum cracked me up. My brother's dog does that too..he loves chasing cars and barking his head off at the weed whacker, but if there's a vacuum or even a harmless fly swatter anywhere in sight, he runs away with his tail between his legs.
