Dear Mason,
You have been making your presence KNOWN from pretty much the day we found out about you. From crippling heartburn to ankles and legs about five times their normal size (from 20 weeks on!).... you were NOT to be overlooked :)
Even when you were born you made a dramatic entrance.... blue and still they put you in the warmer as you required all the attention in the room. When you decided to start breathing (because everything you do is in your own time - hahaha) you were super alert and all the nurses had to come check out your blotchy nose and intense stare :) You made a big entrance for someone just over 6 lbs.

You quickly turned from blue to yellow and we were immediately impressed with your "laid back" nature.

Now... at age three.... we joke that you're sweet and sour. Sweet as pie one minute, raging fit the next.
You are the class clown.... always saying something goofy and well-timed, making a silly face and/or attempting to get everyone to laugh at you.
You have a fabulous imagination and are often making up grand stories and tall tales about what you did at Miss Lisa's house, what happened in your dreams and what your dinner foods are turning into inside your tummy.
You have an amazing vocabulary and some of my favorite things you're saying right now are "dis-a-peter" (instead of disappear), "Mommy you cheer me up!" (instead of cheer me on) and "Night Night Pork Chop" when it's time for bed.

You are most definitely an instigator and you like to stir up trouble by messing up Luke's Legos, hogging Griffin's blanket and hiding things people are looking for.

... the best sense of humor...
You make me want to pull my hair out and then two minutes later have me rolling with something funny you've said or done. Your snuggles are elusive, which I think makes them that much more special when I get them.

You love to make messes, wash dishes and play "store". You want to be included in everything Luke does, love Cap'N Crunch and eat breakfast in bed almost every single morning. You love playing Play Doh, the movie Elf and collecting "rolly polies" in the backyard.
I love you Mason West!!! Happy, Happy Birthday!
Happy 3rd birthday Mason!!
