Lots to talk about

I never talked about our weekend... and there was some serious cuteness going on... so before I talk about Luke's bday I have to recap :)

Thursday I stayed home sick (ugh!), and since Dave worked, my mom came down to hang out with me and help me avoid contaminating the kiddos too much.  Griffin took a sink bath and I'm not sure she's ever looked cuter. hehehe

I made it through Friday by double fisting the 'bucks...

This picture is from Thursday night and it makes me smile every. single. time.  The boys get along the very best at night when they're supposed to be asleep.  I can hear them giggling, playing and having a big ol' time :)

When we got home from school on Friday we were all happy it was Friday!

Mason HAS to ring the doorbell ever time we get home.  Even if no one is inside.  Or if the door is wide open.  #middlechild

Saturday morning G and I hit up Hobby Lobby and Home Goods.  She is a FANTASTIC shopping buddy... the only problem is she can cause quite a stir (she squeals, flirts and reaches for everyone) and occasionally the ruckus slows us down :)

Saturday afternoon Dave went in to work and I packed up all three kiddos for a trip to WalMart.  #joy #sarcasm

THANKFULLY on the way my parents offered to let the boys play at their house so it was just my partner in crime and I again.

The boys played, ate dinner and then my mom walked them to the go get ice cream!  WAAAAAAAAY better than a trip to Wal-Mart with your mom and sister.

Sunday I was still kind of blah (and I STILL am.... pretty sure I'm going to break down and make a trip to urgent care tomorrow. ick.) so we stayed home from church and worked in the backyard.  Mason shared his popsicle with G and then was upset that she "licked it".

It was a gorgeous Day and we busted out some of our summer duds...

Our yard is pretty high maintenance (hahaha) and we got a lot done... we still have to finish mulching and reseeding the side yard and then work on the play area and backyard (neither one is pictured).

Crazy hair don't care.

Monday my SWEET SWEET friend Narci asked to take Griffin's one-year pictures and I was having a few issues picking out an outfit :)

I mean.  Stop.  Just stop. I almost can't handle it. :)
Narci is AMAZING and I cant wait to see the final images.  I have a feeling I might cry.

After pictures on Monday I made the cupcakes for Luke's class... his request... chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.

Griffin taste tested and I'm pretty sure she approved :)

I spent some sweet time snuggling FIVE year old Luke one last time before bed.  Sigh.

Tuesday morning Dave went and picked up donuts and by the time I go tmy camera and got back to the kitchen they were gone.  #boymom

We hit up Starbucks and Mr. Ron serenaded Luke with Happy Birthday LOUD and proud in front of the entire store.  He's amazing.

Before lunch my 5th period class walked down to Luke's class to deliver his cupcakes to him.  Not many 6 year olds get the "big kids" to come with them happy birthday. :)

We got home from school and I started prepping Luke's requested birthday dinner.... brinner.  For Luke this includes pancakes, omlettes and sausage balls :)

We have a whole collection of "silly hats" and when my parents come over Luke insists we all wear one. hahaha
