Gaylord Texan

The Gaylord Texan is the CRAZY huge hotel about 30 minutes from our house and every year they deck the halls like nobody's business.  This was our third year in a row to head out there and check out the decorations.  (They also have a huge ICE exhibit... but we're waiting until everyone's a little bit older to tackle that).

HERE is my post from last year and HERE is my post from 2011.

They have several huge model train setups which all three of my boys adore.

I love the next picture because of Mason on his tippy toes:

And Luke's "OMG face" in this one:

1) They got to see the fish
2) This pic shows the difference between my two boys hair :) hahaha  Luke has always had a CRAZY amount of hair... Mason, not so much.

Luke was doing something else, so Mason stood in the present for me :)

SWOON!  And seriously... her picture taking skills are already than both of her brothers combined.  It must be a girl thing.

And we're boys so of course we can't just step off of the step.... we must jump, kick, fly, etc. :)

Maybe my favorite pic... LOVING M's face :) #middlechild

We attempted another group pic...

Griffin was looking extra adorable. :)

They have huge fountains to watch...

... and after the fountains we split the worlds biggest/best chocolate chunk cookie.

Stare down over the cookie...

Mason's smiling because he knows everyone else has already finished their piece.  He took his SWEET time. :)

She hasn't figured out the whole straw thing yet... but she gives it t determined try!

More trains...

... and then we made wishes in the fountain.

Griffin girl had completely missed her morning nap.... can't you tell???  Seriously people, easiest baby ever.

See my boys WAAAAAAAAAAAY across on the balcony??? They thought this was AWESOME!  And is it sad that I could hear them from all the way across?  #loud

After the Gaylord we stopped in at Bass Pro Shop since it's super close by.

Watch out, world!

The boys and I rode the carousel and Griffin stayed with Daddy and made sweet eyes at him :)

She has her Daddy WRAPPED!

Again with their photo taking skills...

We had packed them lunches, so they gobbled those up for the first 10 minutes in the car, but as we made our way home we saw this...

... and this...

... and this...

... and this! (Just kidding!)

If you live close by the Gaylord is a MUST and if you're coming to DFW how fun would it be to stay there???  It's incredible at night and we may venture back this week to see it all lit up... but if not, it's on our list for next year.
Merry Christmas, EVE!!!

  4. I don't think I've commented before, but I have to tell you that I love your blog! Your family is darling, your style so fun, and your creativity inspiring! Most of all, thanks for sharing "real life" and loving Jesus well. So many blogs out in "blogland" are so sugar coated and I so appreciate those (like yours) that are authentic! Wishing you a very Merry CHRISTmas from Atlanta! And but the way, we are heading to the Gaylord in Nashville next week. We LOVE their Christmas festivities!
