Dinner is served...

... in an ice cube tray!

I picked up some ice cube trays to start freezing homemade baby food and decided to mix dinner up a bit on Sunday night by serving the boys their dinner in them!  I didn't have any grand plans for dinner so this worked perfectly.  A little bit of this and a little bit of that.

Here's what I put in their trays...

The boys absolutely LOVED having their dinner this way and they both ate everything!

It was the same dinner I would have fed them anyway, but they thought it was super fun.  They have both already asked to have dinner in their trays again :)
I have plans to do this for breakfast as well using cereal, fruits, oatmeal, etc.  Simple, yet really fun!

  1. such a great idea!
    I love all the choices!
and it's so good that they
ate it all instead of just picking out candy--cause that's what Nolan would do :)

  3. So cute and fun! I need you to post more info on making and freezing the baby food! What's on your table top? Is that drawing paper? Or is it just a white surface? Looking for a way to childproof our wooden table top...

    Thanks for the cute idea!
