Monday/Tuesday

Monday afternoon Dave was at work and so Luke, Griffin and I went to pick up Mason.  Luke and Griffin both PASSED OUT in the car, Mason was watching Toy Story and so when we got home we spent 15 minutes sitting in the van in the driveway :)  It was quiet, I had a Dr.Pepper and it was a few "stolen minutes" I found to answer some Slightly Askew emails.  A mom's got to do what a mom's got to do, right??? :)

You know you're the LAST baby when.... Daddy holds you during a 2-hour nap and refuses to swaddle you up and put you to bed because you look so comfy :)

Tuesday Griffin and I went to the mall for a few minutes to pick up a gift and she was totally rocking the biggest, most ridiculous flower headband ever.

After the mall we headed to Addison for a really fun opportunity. There was a photography school going on and Griffin was chosen to "model" for a newborn photography class.  The photographer who was teaching the class is an INCREDIBLE photographer and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have her picture taken by such a talented artist.  We were there from 1:00 - 4:00 and it was super fun to get to watch the process.

There were about 25 photographers in the class and it was kind of bizarre to watch them all line up to take pictures of your kid....

There were light panels, reflectors, sound machines and heaters all set up to keep the little princess comfy :)

This was one that the photographer took with my iPhone... can't wait to see what she got with her camera!

Griffin pooped and peed all over this GORGEOUS chenille blanket (and the girl who was assisting), but she still looked adorable while doing it :)

I mean, seriously....

It was a really fun experience and I can't wait to see the images (and share them with y'all!).

  1. what an amazing opportunity for baby Griffin! she makes a gorgeous model. I love that little bed they had her in at the end! did you get newborn photos taken of Luke and Mason, too? I am a little sad that I missed the boat on getting Nolan professional pictures at the beginning. hopefully next time!
