Valentines Decor

I'm not sure why I haven't posted this yet, especially considering that I've had my Valentines decor up since the day after Christmas. :)

I don't go overboard for Valentines, Christmas is always kind of "decor overload" for me and so come January I'm ready for something a little more low key.  I usually just decorate this window in my kitchen and that's pretty much it.

This year I used the chalkboard sign I made for Luke's first day of Pre-K (as well as our family pics and gender reveal pictures) on an easel in the window and filled my apothecary jars with red sparkly Christmas ornaments and some red garland.

I came across this pink feather tree on Craigslist ($7 people!!!) and I had it in my classroom for Christmas and then just brought it home since I thought it would go well for Valentine's Day!

Just a couple of other little touches around the kitchen:

My love playing with his love :)

I have big plans to sew some Pottery Barn-inspired Valentines Envelopes to hang on the backs of the kitchen chairs for the kids, but not sure if I'll have time to complete them before Feb 1st.  I'll be sure to share if I do! :)
