Bargain Hunting

I have a not-so-secret love for visiting the occasional Goodwill/Thrift Store/garage sale on the search for treasures and here are a couple of finds from the last couple of weeks....
I found these neat glass jars for $0.99/each and immediatley thought about putting candles in them and using them on our patio table out back. My original plan was to fill the bottoms with sand, but I had these little rocks on hand (they were from our fish bowl... may Rocket the Beta rest in peace) : ) . Dave just bought a few bags of play sand to refresh our sandbox and I'm considering hijacking one and replacing the rocks. Since I already had the rocks and candles, the whole project cost me $3. Not too bad! On a different day I came across this huge grapevine wreath for $1.99...

... and this bunch of decorator-quality artificial flowers for $4.99.
I picked them both up and brought them home and after about 10 minutes with my wire cutters I had this...
I think that it needs a little "something" else (maybe some lighter color mixed in???), but for a quick and cheap wreath I think it does the trick!
