Spooky Snack Mix

Since a bunch of ya'll asked me for the recipe at the harvest party (and I'm assuming that you were being sincere and not just nice. ha!) here it is. Better late than never, right?!?!
Please excuse my crummy night photo: I filled this trifle dish for the party, and it was pretty much all gone, but when I got home I had enough left to fill it up a second time and we got to munch on it for the next few days. It makes a TON! Here's what's in it:
- 1 box of Cheez-Its
- A couple of handfuls of marshmallows
- 1 carton of Whoppers malted milk balls
- 1 bag of Reeses Pieces
- 1 bag of candy corn
- 1 tub of sugared orange slices
- Chocolate covered pretzels
(I went on a HUNT for the flipz chocolate covered pretzels, but couldn't find them anywhere... so I made my own and it really wasn't that hard. I then sprinkled them with halloween sprinkles and I think that they added a festive touch)
Anyway, I know it's already past Halloween, but I think you could easily modify this for Thanksgiving by using the brown and orange candy corn instead of the yellow/orange/white stuff and taking out the marshmallows.

For Christmas you could use the red and green Christmas jujubees (I have NO IDEA how to spell that) instead of the orange slides, red and green candy corn instead of the traditional kind, the red and green goldfish crackers instead of the cheez-its and the red/white/green m&ms instead of the reeses pieces. YUM!

  2. I wasn't being polite...I had four bowls of it at the party and then still almost walked down to your house the next day for more.
