Although I'm on maternity leave from my teaching position, I decided not to take leave from my responsibilities as Student Government sponsor. After working with the kids for a good part of the year planning their end of the year events I was having a hard time dealing with turning over the events to someone else :) This past Saturday night was the Junior High Semi-Formal, this Friday is Prom, and then the following Thursday is our Taste Test fundraiser.
Below are some pics from the Masquerade (aka Mardi Gras) themed JH social. It was the social highlight of the year for most of my 7th/8th grade students and is one of my favorite events to attend because it brings me back to my own junior high days... awkward slow dances, social drama and feeling oh-so grown up. :)
