Gingerbread

I REALLY wanted to do a gingerbread house with Luke before Christmas, but every time I was at the store I forgot to pick up the candy, etc. So... during Mason's nap last Wednesday we decided to work with what we had at home and make some gingerbread cookies. Luke helped me roll out the dough...

And when the cookies were done cooling he decided how to decorate them. He specifically asked for yellow gingerbread men (not sure what that's about).

And after showing him how to gently "sprinkle" the sprinkles on the cookies, he decided to dump them "just the way he liked it".

Here he is with his plate of finished cookies... We at a BUNCH, shared with Santa and then Daddy brought the rest to work to share. Hopefully next year I'll get my act together and we'll do the house, but these were super fun (and yummy too!)
