Blue-spiration

 I posted a few pics of Griffin on IG all dressed up in her house color on Friday and immediately got a TON of requests for links to her spirit items and lots of questions about her star want ;) SO HERE WE GO!

Let's start with the hair.  I bought this set of extensions and we did these kind of easy "bubble" style braids with the blue extensions just attached to the front piece. Then we added in all the blue clips from this set of star clips.

It turned out SO CUTE and lasted all day and she got a ton of questions about it.  SO FUN!

I bought the same extensions in the rainbow colorway - but just cut out the orange and purple so it was only our four House colors. I pulled my hair up into space buns using the attached elastics and then just kept things super messy and fun and colorful. 

Okay - the wand! CAN YOU EVEN! It was a last minute idea and honestly couldn't have been easier.  We bought a blue piece of poster board at Hobby Lobby, folded it in half and just drew a big ol' star on it. We cut it out and then just stapled it all the way around except for an opening at the bottom where we just stuck a dowel rod (also from Hobby Lobby) into the star.  After that she just cut and tied a bunch of blue ribbon to the rod and put some E6000 glue in there to hold it on. She painted an outline using acrylic paint and then mod podged and put a bunch of glitter on it and it couldn't be cuter. It honestly took about 30 mins total and she LOVES IT!

G made the glasses using the bedazzling stuff we bought this summer and these beads and these letter beads. I bought all the heart glasses a while ago for a party and we still had a ton of colors left over. All supplies we had on hand. 

Her bestie is a House leader for Chara and she made him a pair as well ;) hahaha

Other parts of the outfit included these blue shorts, butterfly wings, the big blue chain,  a blue tutu and these blue poms. The shirt we bought at Hobby Lobby and she painted with regular acrylic paint.

The final touch was a bunch of glitter ;) We love these face sticks although we find that they're way easier to apply if you touch them with your finger and then put that on your face. G used blue and I used all four colors.
