We woke up Wednesday morning and immediately slid open the slider door, made a cup of tea, and settled in on the deck. CAN YOU EVEN with that view?!?!?!
The kids decided that cereal in the hot tub sounded like a great idea so that's exactly what they did ;)
Meanwhile, Dave and I hung out up here and I read while he worked a little bit.
That morning we played a few games, finished a puzzle and hung out and then decided ot check out the Battery Spencer overlook to hopefully get a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
There were a couple different stops/viewpoints ont he way to Battery Spencer so we stopped along the way. Each stop just kept getting better and better! It was foggy - which we knew was probably going to be the case coming in June - but was still so cool to see.
little sister life ;)
All the locks on the fences at Battery Spencer were super neat to see...
And we got to see a few different groups there supporting their teams for World Cup which was also really cool.
After the bridge we grabbed some groceries and headed back to the house to eat lunch...
... and then we grabbed some towels and a couple of chairs and walked down the hill to Muir Beach.
I'm not going to lie - it was COLD! But the kids don't seem to mind and the views were beautiful!
The house had a few beach toy sin the garage and I feel like you're never too old for sand toys ;)
They found several pieces of beach glass....
... found shells...
... and buried Mason in the sand. Which, apparently, is a tradition ;)
... and the kids hopped back in the hot tub just as the sun started peeking out.
More games...
... a SUPER easy dinner (amen!)...
... more games...
... and then a movie night rounded out a pretty great day ;)
