Dachshund Puppy Yoga

Griffin has been talking about doing a puppy yoga class with her friends for her birthday so when we saw that the Plano location had dachshund puppies for their classes last weekend we decided that checking it out was the only responsible thing to do ;)

Our class started at 4:00 and they recommended getting there about 15 minutes ahead of time.  We showed up about 25 minutes early (because SOMEONE was super excited) and were the first people there. They had lockers for us to put our keys and bags in and then we had to fill out a form on my phone, sanitize our hands and then wait in the lobby area until about 5 minutes before the start time.

We picked our mats and immediately were covered in puppies. I think they could tell we were weenie dog people ;)

CAN YOU EVEN?!?!?!

There was an instructor at the front of the room who led a 45-minute beginner-friendly yoga class and I'm going to be really honest - we didn't do much of it ;) hahaha

Puppies fell asleep on us and we felt like it was our duty to keep them sleeping so that's just what we did ;)

There were about 8 puppies in the class (22 people were there) and at one point more than half of them had piled onto GG's lap to take a nap.

After the 45 minute class there's a 30 minute "puppy play time" where the employees come around and bring the puppies to different groups so everyone can get a picture with them...

... and then it's like they're out of their sleepy time and were running around playing.

We stayed until they told us we had to leave (hahahaha) and had SO MUCH FUN with these sweet babies.  The puppies are brought in by a contracted local breeder (who we got to meet) and they all seemed very well-cared for and socialized.

G decided that it probably won't be the best idea for a birthday party situation due to the quiet nature of the class and the loud nature of a big group of middle school girls (hahaha) but we're definitely keeping our eyes on upcoming classes for her and I to go to because we really did have the best time.

I'd seen this all over social media (my feed is typically puppies and funny stuff) and it was super fun to get to try it out for ourselves.

One note: we went to the Plano location and I'm going to be honest - it was not in a location we expected it to be in.  Just be prepared for when you pull in to be like WHAT IS THIS PLACE and then look for the little sandwich board sign out front ;) The price of the class felt a little mismatched with the space BUT once we were in we kind of forgot about that if that makes sense.

If you go PLEASE reach out because I want to hear about it!!!

HAPPY Thursday, friends!!!
