Weekend Happies: Alice At Wonderland Edition

WHEW! What a weekend! This weekend was pretty packed but it was all fun stuff so I thought I'd share!

Griffin joined theater this year and her first play was this weekend!  She was "Frog Newsie" and various other roles in Alice at Wonderland - a modern (and super fun!) adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.  Theater has been such an amazing experience for her and she has loved every single part of it.

She had a show on Friday night and then three more on Saturday which made for a couple of VERY full days but she was nothing but excited from call time to curtain call ;) Enjoy 1000 pics of my little frog newsie doing her thing!

The costumes were all designed by an 8th grade student which just made them that much cooler!

I can't EVEN!!!

Green flowers wrapped in newsprint felt appropriate ;)

Other highlights included a dance Christmas show dress rehearsal on Saturday morning ....

... with a quick cheeseburger lunch date before heading to school for theater call time.

Starbucks run was necessary ;)

Another happy was PAPERWHITES BEING BACK at Trader Joe's! My family thinks these smell like pee (seriously!) but I love them and they feel nostalgic to me.

Yesterday we let G sleep in as long as possible after a whirlwind Friday and Saturday.  She and I worked on her room which had become a TOTAL disaster zone and her mood at the end summed up how we were both feeling ;)

Christmas bedding!!!

After the great room-cleanout we had to run up to school to grab some stuff we both had forgotten on Friday so we did it in our pjs ;) Not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last.

And we got to see some REALLY low hot air balloons while we were there which is always a treat!

Back home for Sunday night dinner...

... and then homework time.

Last, but not least - I had G's baby clothes made into a quilt for her and her sweet little self passed out in my bed on Saturday night (after three shows!) wrapped up in it just about made my heart MELT! HAPPIEST!

Where were the boys you might be asking? Well - Mason was golfing with my dad and then spent the majority of the weekend disassembling his loft bed and deep cleaning his room to get ready for a new bed and room setup (yes! the days of the loft bed have come to an end!) and Luke was working pretty much all weekend.  He's still doing house/pet sitting and working for people doing various odd jobs and this weekend he was busy pet-sitting and then helping a family move their mother out of her house.  He worked LONG days and when he was home he was working on homework.  Sigh.

There you have it!  SUCH a fun weekend filled with so many happies!
