I randomly decided to document my LAST day of summer break - this past Sunday. It started off on a high note as I internally debated whether or not I needed a vintage concrete horse for my yard ;) Ultimately I decided to pass but I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider it!
I hopped in the shower and then immediately put this on my face when I got out. I was having some major skin issues this summer after our Boston/Cape Cod trip (maybe more on this another day!) and I stopped using pretty much every product I have and only use this and my skin has never looked better.
Time to blow dry and read a few pages. I've read as I blow dry my hair since I was a teenager and I don't know how to explain it. hahaha
This was "promotion sunday" at church where all the kids move up to their new classes. Mason and I volunteer every other week and we just changed classes to a room with younger kids (they just tunred one) and so I figured I needed to wear something comfy and easy to get up and down in.
Came out to find G busy reading...
... cuties ready for kick off Sunday! Luke was long gone because he was playing in orchestra and had to be at church super early for rehearsal.

This was the first week for everyone in new classes and we were SO EXCITED to have one our favorite little guys in our class!

LISTEN. This made my entire week. This sweetheart slept on me for over an hour and I ATE IT UP. There is nothing better!
After nursery I went to service (G and Dave serve together during this hour - it's not super convenient BUT Mason and G don't want to miss their small groups and they're at different times this Fall so it is what it is every other week) and saw my FAVORITE percussionist!
Home and I took walking Rosie duty ;)
Amazon delivery with some fun goodies...
... and then leftover soup for lunch (sharing this recipe this week!)
I prepped meatloaves for dinner....
... and headed to Fleet Feet to get Mason fitted/scanned for some new XC shoes.
Fleet Feet took FOREVER (dang it, tax free weekend!) and we ended up having to order his shoes online but you KNOW as soon as I got home it was hair up, comfies on.
I put some laundry in and tidied up downstairs and then went upstairs for "Sunday Inspection" ;) hahaha. We pretty much let our kids have their rooms as they please but once a week they have to have everything picked up, vacuumed, wiped down, etc.
I went to check on G and found this. Jealous.
Since I wasn't taking a nap I mixed up some caffeinated greens and got a few more chores knocked off my list...
... popped those meatloaves in the oven...
... and settled in to my "home office" to knock out some school work.
Instrumental music ALWAYS for when I'm trying to focus.
I worked on my sorting day presentation and sent off a few emails...
... Dave got home around 6:00 and finished up dinner for me (AMEN!!!) so I could wrap up my school stuff. Mason has been into taking photos so he showed me some of his latest pics...
... and then we all sat down and ate together (the best!).
After dinner we cleaned up and then I got back in bed to work on more school stuff (hello in-service week!) and was treated to a XC fashion show. hahaha
We played some Clue, the kids and Dave watched a movie and I got a few blog things done...
... and worked on my first day of school slideshow.

... and then a few pages before calling it a night.
