Last week I found out on Wednesday that Griffin was going to need a "$10-ish" gift for her two "Lil Sis" 6th grade cheerleaders. I started brainstorming ideas of something she could give that would be memorable, personal, and not just candy ;).
I was able to help her pull together something super cute and personal and thought I'd share in case you were looking for an idea for a cheer big sis/lil sis situation, a birthday party favor, etc.
I ordered this set of acrylic 2x3 acrylic iridescent photo frames and then got out our beads and the only glue worth having and G and I got to work personalizing. Literally all you have to do is put a little line of glue where you want the beads, place the beads on and then just make sure they're stationary until they're set. They're extra easy because you can move them around for a minute or so after you put them on the frame because the glue doesn't dry super fast.
She made one for each of girls and then at the party snapped a polaroid with each of them and popped them in the frame.
Ignore our placeholder pic of Mason from last summer ;). You can see that the acrylic is iridescent and the frames will stand up on their own on a desk, nightstand, etc.
Since we had out the beads and the glue she also decided to make them each a pair of glasses to wear during the party. We did this last year for her birthday and had extra glasses left over.
These were super fun to make and turned out SO CUTE! The girls were super excited to have something personalized and hopefully it will be a little memento from the night that they hold onto. We threw the glasses and frames in a gift bag with some candy (duh!) and called it a night.
If you're interested in making the glasses or frames I'm linking everything I used below!
You have the most fun and wonderfully creative ideas! My daughter turns 13 next week and I get a lot of great recommendations from you. I just ordered all of these items so that she can create party favors for her party. Thank you for sharing
