Plant Tour Part 2

I started a "Plant Tour" series back in FEBRUARY with the intention of doing three parts in three weeks and well - here we are ;) Let's pick up where we left off.  Our dining room faces the same direction as our living room and front hall but doesn't get quite as much light.

On the dining table I have a polka dot begonia in the vintage swan planter...

... with a couple of cuttings propograting so that I can add them back into the original plant to hopefully make it a bit more full.

On the shelf I have a "Trader Joe's Special" which is just one of those "greenery" plants they often have for like $6.  I figure that if they last longer than cut flowers it's a win and so many of my plants from there have lasted years!

This little guy is a cutting that I have in water.  I need to give him a trim and propogate a few more pieces this summer.

This pothos came from Trader Joes...

... as did this guy in the kitchen that's looking a tiny bit crispy.

I have a love/hate relationship with maidenhair ferns.  I absolutely adore them but they are SO FICKLE for me and go crispy in the blink of an eye. hahaha

My plan is to cut the dead parts off and see how she does, but she'll probably be gone in a month or so.

You know who never gets crispy? A Christmas/Thanksgiving cactus.  She's THRIVING as is the cute little succulent a friend gave me.

I've had this guy for YEARS as well...

.... and then on the long windowsill I have several plant cuttings I'm growing and/or propagating like this lemon lime prayer plant cutting that I took from...

... this plant (photo from Christmas because I totally forgot to grab one this week!)

I have a zebra fern on the coffee table... it was in my kitchen window but started getting a few little brown spots so I was worried it was getting too much light.  Here I am again babying a fern that will probably break my heart!

Pothos NEVER break my heart and you can see I have one in this old champagne bucket...

... as well as one in that niche up there.

This rubber plant is DESPERATELY in need of some staking...

... and my peace lily was feeling fickle on this particular day but has since perked up.

I have a super pretty pothos on the console table...

... and a monstera that I grew from a cutting of...

... this hot mess.  I actually just ordered a stake situation for this guy as well and should have him much more comfortable this weekend.

So there you have it! I'll have one more post where I show you what plants I have in my bedroom and upstairs and then talk about my fiddle leaf trees since that's a commonly asked question.

If you're new to plants I HIGHLY recommend you start with a pothos - you can find them at Home Depot or Lowes and they're super resilient and easy to grow.

Happy Thursday, friends!!!
