Must See TV - Part 1

I feel like I'm often on the hunt for a good TV show to watch and so today I'm sharing a few things either Dave and I have watched or we've watched as a family in case you're looking for something good too!

I watched this Gabby Petito documentary on Netflix and was immediately hooked.  I remember hearing about the story but didn't really know about the case and the way that they used so much of the footage that she had shot with her camera and drone made the whole thing a bit surreal.

Dave and I watched the new OJ Simpson documentary on Netflix and it was SO GOOD.  Again, I remember the basics of the case but knew NONE of the details and thought it was really well done.  I felt like I learned a lot and was absolutely mind blown by how much evidence and how many witnesses were left out of the case.

If you have kids and are looking for a show that you can watch as a family make sure you check out Beast Games.  It's a reality-competition show that started off with 1000 people competing for a 5 million dollar prize and our entire family really enjoyed it.  LOTS of talking points and "what would you do" type of conversations along the way and it was a fun family watch.

Another good family show that we've enjoyed recently is "The Floor".  Contestants battle over trivia questions to take control of a light-up floor and we like it because the categories are SUPER varied and great for varied ages.

Last, I watched Adolescence last weekend and I can't stop thinking about it.  The way it's filmed makes you feel like you're literally in the moment and the actor who played Jamie is UNREAL.  Hyperrealistic is the best word Ive heard used to describe it and I couldn't agree more.  Honestly, I'm still processing it and love/hate that it ended without any sort of "resolution" but it's REALLY good.

If you've watched anything great lately I'd love to know!  Leave me a comment and let me know ;)

  1. I totally agree with everything you say about Adolescence. It was hard to watch but I feel like it was a necessary watch. I watched it a few weeks ago and I am still thinking about it...

My girls watched Beast Games, my eldest subscribed to Amazon prime just to watch it. lol
Adolescence was amazing but so worrying. I really fear for teenagers now a days.

  4. The Residence on Netflix was really fun. Kind of like Clue. I think it's Netflix' answer to Only Murders In the Building which is great too!

  7. Did you watch Devil in the Family: Ruby Franke documentary. It was also captivating. As someone who blogs and shares her life with the world, I would love to know your thoughts on it. (Obviously her life took some very strange and dark twists, but it seems to start pretty innocently.)
