Valentine's Dinner 2025

We had our annual family Valentine's Dinner on Friday and it was super sweet.  I'm bummed that it was dark by the time we ate and my pictures aren't great (hello, older kids!) but it was still a great time.

I kept things simple with store bought "decorate yourself" sugar cookies and some heart-shaped gummies...

And LOVE any excuse to pull out all the heart table wear.  Pretty much everything is Homegoods except for the heart glasses.

I kept the menu what we've done the past couple of years because the kids requested that ;). Garlice bread...

... pasta, heart-shaped ravioli...

... and then a pot of alfredo sauce.  They like mixing the sauces and picking their pastas and it's overall an easy, but special, meal.

I'm a SUCKER for a mylar heart balloon always...

.... and the kids all got a couple of little surprises (they each needed a new pair of shoes so I wrapped those up and then threw in a little treat - keychain, cross necklace, etc.)

I was honestly super surprised by how into the whole decorating sugar cookies thing they were.  Luke went the peanut butter strawberry route...

... and Mason and G both went with traditional icing ;)

As my kids get older I keep thinking that the year will come when they don't ask about these special meals ahead of time BUT they still ask about them and get excited so you KNOW I'm going to keep cranking them out.

HAPPY Wednesday and happy belated Valentine's Day, friends!
