Luke decided to run indoor club track again this winter and we're gearing up for a busy season of travel watching him run. His coach is incredible and the experience he gets is unmatched. The competition is UNREAL and it's so fun to see how much talent is out there!
- STILL LEGOS -
Luke's Christmas list this year was short and sweet with really only one thing on it - cash for Lego sets (the new modular building came out last week) Crazy to think that Legos have been on his gift lists for probably 14 years and I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon ;)
- SAN ANTONIO -
Last year Luke traveled to Costa Rica with school during our mission week, this year he's signed up to head to San Antonio and he couldn't be more excited.
- PHASE ONE DONE -
Mason got his braces off in December and officially ended phase one of his orthodontic treatment. We're waiting for some permanent teeth to come in and for him to grow a bit and then we'll reassess for phase two. For now he's LOVING having his braces off and we're loving his smile!
- GOLF READY -
Mason opted out of school basketball this season in favor of focusing on getting ready for golf season. He has new clubs and has been working with a coach and is pumped for the season to start.
- RINGMASTER -
We've joked over break that Mason is the ringmaster of our neighborhood circus ;) The boys from down the street come and ring our doorbell and beg Mason to play with them and he's more than happy to oblige.
- TWEEN CHRISTMAS -
Well. It happened. There wasn't an American Girl doll or Barbie in sight this year and it was bittersweet for sure. It was all things girly and music and crafty. Sigh.
- LITTLE WOMEN -
G and I watched Little Women (the 2019 version) the other night and I think the movie MAY have topped Wicked for her which is seriously saying something ;) Meg is her favorite sister, she wants to plan a visit to Orchard House and she has started reading the book.
- SCHOOL CHOIR -
Electives change for 6th grade at the semester and G is SO EXCITED to be joining choir. She had an extra period of cheer first semester and is pumped to get to switch things up this Spring.
Jelly Bean is an INCREDIBLE kitty inside and we fully credit that to her ability to be outside and be her full kitty self out there any time she wants. A cold front blew in tonight and she is already going a bit stir-crazy ;)
- CLASSICS -
We've been introducing our kids to some "classics" from the 90s/00s over break including Tommy Boy, Blue Streak, Back to the Future (I know this is 80s), etc. If you have any great movies to recommend let me know!
- SUMMER PLANS -
I'm working on booking our summer vacation and I'm SO EXCITED!!!! I'll share details as we get closer but I'm so pumped! You KNOW we're headed for cooler temps and this year we're really hoping to relax and enjoy some gorgeous scenery ;)
PS - how GORGEOUS are these photos we had done for Christmas cards?!?!?! The dogs were an impromptu decision and I can't get over how CUTE they all turned out! If you're local and looking for someone who can work some absolute magic check out Maredith!
They are all growing up way too fast. Beautiful.

I can't get over how big your kids are getting!!
ReplyDelete90's movies - Beethoven, Mighty Ducks, Homeward Bound, George of the Jungle, Mrs. Doubtfire, Father of the Bride, Free Willy, Mighty Joe Young, Matilda, My Girl, Rudy....these are the ones I can remember my kids loving when they were younger!
For 80s movies, my kids loved Ferris Buellers Day Off and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels :)
ReplyDeletelove the way your Christmas cards turned out.
ReplyDeleteYou guys need to teach a class on how to get pets to sit nicely for family pics! That is IMPRESSIVE!!
ReplyDeleteThere's something about these pictures. They're truly the best ones you've ever had done! Such a treasure.....and no doubt a triumph, too, to get the dogs to cooperate. LOL!
