North Pole Breakfast '24

This past Friday morning was our 13th annual North Pole Breakfast, but this one was a little bittersweet because I don't have any "believers" left in my house. Griffin has been piecing things together for a little while and this summer she asked me directly about Santa and then pretty much immediately followed up with, "we can still have the North Pole Breakfast, right?"  ABSOLUTELY!

So Thursday night after everyone was passed out from a day of turkey and 5Ks and football I got out my bin of goodies and got to work.

Back in the fall I found this set of napkins and roll of wrapping paper at Homegoods and knew that I wanted the theme to be vintage santas.

I found a few small vintage mugs at a local antique mall, pulled out some of my own vintage ornaments and mixed them with some green and red vintage pieces I found downtown.

I pulled out some of my Molly Hatch holiday dishes...

... and LOVE how it turned out.

It wouldn't be a North Pole Breakfast without donettes ;)

I added in a few more red/green vintage pieces including this sweet little card with jingle bells...

... and this box of red Shiny Brite ornaments.

The vintage santa mugs I used in the garland really made the whole thing.

The glitter stars garland you can find HERE.

My vintage trivet was a perfect addition...

The kids each got an ornament (a tradition)...

... and this year they each got an advent calendar as well.

It was just as fun as it's always been - and dare I say, with the pressure "off" a bit (no letter, no having to move the elf every night, etc) it was even a bit more fun!

Happy Tuesday, friends!!!

  1. I have been following along for a LONG time and have 5 kids (The Baby is now a senior in high school) I can safely say it's a different feeling, and can still be JUST as fun with new traditions added for the teens that all "know", We have one grandbaby that is the nephew to 4 of the kids and when he is over they love to have the house elf move to fun thigs they saw on TikTok and I let them do it. But I am grateful for not having to do it at night every night any more :)
