Happy Tuesday, friends! I've been meaning to have this post up for at least a week but this is the one and only reason I don't love standard time - the lighting and time for grabbing pics is limited when I'm not home until after 4:00. But, alas... I got it done ;)
First up, we moved our big tree this year and I'm LOVING IT! Typically we've put it in the living room but this year I didn't want to move my chairs in there and my giant fiddle leaf has gotten even more giant so I thought I'd try it here and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
See what I mean about the fiddle leaf? We're ignoring the fact that I have an old beach towel in the planter, okay? ;) hahahaha.
I love that you can see so many more of the ornaments as well - pretty much I'm obsessed and it'll be here from this point forward.
Our tree, as always, is a hodgepodge of sentimental ornaments. Handmade school ornaments...
... travel mementos...
... and a lot of ornaments that we've collected over the years representing fun events and things that happened that year.
The only downside to having the tree here is the room for presents under the tree, but I've improvised by putting a few under the tree in our family room and then just stacked the rest up in the office.
In the living room I put out our nativities (looking at this pic there MAY be a few too many plants)..
... including this one that we received as a wedding gift (totally great idea if you have a wedding coming up!)...
.... this one that was cut and punched out of steel drums...
... the giving manger from when our kids were smaller...
... and a few pieces that I've received as gifts over the years.
I put Christmas dishes and mugs out in the dining room....
Along with a doubled up garland with bronzed mercury glass ornaments.
In the office I put out our collection of paper houses...
I put our Glitterville papa noel collection out here because why not ;)
And then added a few more houses on this shelf above the computer desk.
Well.... that's enough pictures to last all week - hahaha So I'll be back tomorrow with the family room, kitchen and our vintage ornament tree in a new spot ;). Happy Tuesday, friends!
It looks so festive and cozy and I love the tree in the new location!!
