Christmas 2024

I still can't believe Christmas has come and gone and it's almost NYE!

Christmas eve dressed and ready to head to my brothers house (outfit details)

The best family pic we got on Christmas eve was this one ;) It was pouring rain and after church everyone was HUNGRY so I'm counting this one as a win!

We had a great time with the Buchanans...

I can't believe how big these cousins have gotten!

Christmas Eve church is something I look forward to all year long and it didn't disappoint.

After church we came back to our house for pasta and Caesar salad and then GAMES!  We taped cups down at one end of the table and if they rolled the ping pong ball into a cup they got to reveal one of the prizes under the other cups (scratch-off tickets, mini trolls, some funny socks, gum, etc.)

We did the "cotton-eyed joe" game where you have to march inside this little box on the ground and it was SO FUNNY!

Then we moved on to the saran wrap game (there were prizes hidden throughout)...

... the crepe paper game...

... and then the race to 100 dice game.

Luke won and got the grand prize... a shark blanket onesie thing ;)

We had cake...

... and watched The Best Christmas Pageant Ever which absolutely undid me.  I thought it was absolutely touching and real and I just loved it so much.

Christmas morning we started off with the kids trying to hunt down the Christmas pickle to see who got to open their stocking first...

... and then we spent the morning opening gifts, eating breakfast and just enjoying each other.

Luke felt AWFUL for a good part of the morning and we really thought he was going to be down for the count but after a solid nap and some tylenol he rallied and I fully consider it a Christmas miracle ;)

This is the only other pic I have from the entire day which is kind of the way I love it ;)

I hope y'all had a very Merry Christmas!

  1. My daughter and I also loved The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. We were so worried that the adaptation wouldn't be as good as the book (I started reading it to my kids when they were young-they're grown now) and were so happy that they didn't screw it up :)

  2. Looks like a beautiful Christmas. Glad Luke rallied and felt better to finish off the day - it's always hard to be sick when there is so much going on around you. Happy New Year!
