HAPPY FRIDAY, friends! Today is the last Friday of school and that alone could be my FAVORITE for the week. hahaha. This school year has been a great one but MAMA IS READY TO SLEEP IN!
Before we can cross the finish line we have approximately eleventy-five activities and assemblies and awards and all of that but we're checking things off the list and having fun while we do it.
First up this week was Mason's art showcase. He switched from band to art this year and loved it even more than he thought he would. LOOK AT THAT SMILE! FAVORITE!!!
Tuesday night was Luke's band concert - two of his FAVORITE people were in attendance ;)
Fifth grade had a serve day at Feed My Starving Children which y'all know is one of our FAVORITE organizations. Hairnets - not a fave. Packing meals for kids in need - fave.
Last Friday was high school academic awards (pre-haircut - hahahaha) and Luke got the academic award for Biology and made Headmaster's Honor Roll. Proud of him rocking his first year of high school!!!
Monday was G's last chapel of elementary school and getting to go and watch was a highlight of my week.
Lower school has been our FAVORITE and all these lasts are bittersweet to say the least.
Art portfolios coming home is a FAVORITE...
... and reuniting with Frank every afternoon is always a FAVE.
G also had her last children's choir performance this week...
... this has been a FAVORITE and I can't believe this chapter is over as well!
I reordered a few of my FAVES last week and tried out a couple of new things...
... I was absolutely influenced to try the lip combo (it's more than I typically do/wear) but I really like it!
It's been a mini spirit week in middle school but you KNOW Mason and I are going to go all in ;)

Last weekend we got our porch spruced up a bit...

... WE ARE TIRED, but we'll make it! This weekend we have G's dance recital, a friend bday party and some family visiting from Canada! I hope y'all have had a week full of FAVORITES and I'll see you back here on Monday!

ReplyDeleteMason's art work is amazing! That kid has some serious talent. And I also love his MWM signature. My kids are 31 and 27...so why did reading about the last years of lower school make me teary eyed? LOL. Have a great last week...10 school days and counting for me!

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a busy but great week, Mason looks so proud of the artwork and rightly so! The serve day sounds wonderful and well done to Luke at high school.
My girls are grown now but I do remember well the busy-ness of the end of the year. Lots of fun but it's exhausting fun! Enjoy all the things and Happy Mother's Day to you!
