Three Things

Sharing three things today along with Halloween pics from a couple of years ago since they're some of my FAVORITE!

- STUDENT DRIVER -
Luke has been chipping away at his driving hours and is counting down until he’s fully licensed in April.  He’s SUPER cautious but is getting more confident 😉

- AWAY GAMES -
Luke has been traveling to away football games with band and while his band experience looks A LOT different than mine and Dave’s (we were part of a HUGE HS band) the away games are still a highlight which makes our band-loving hearts so happy!

- BIG HAIR -
Y’all.  Luke’s hair is about to kill me.  He has GREAT hair.  GREAT.  WHYYYYY he insists on poofing it all up is absolutely beyond me. Hahaha  I know that teenage boy hair will always be one of life’s greatest mysteries but STILL!

- XC STATE -
Mason has powered through another season of cross country and will wrap it up this weekend at the middle school state meet. It’s a few hours away so we’ll be spending the night and it looks like there is going to be great weather on Saturday morning and we’re all excited to wrap up the season on a high note.

- POKEMON (AGAIN!) -
Pokemon has come around AGAIN at our house and Mason is back into collecting cards. This is one of my least favorite hobbies/collectibles of all time and I’m just praying that he’s forgotten about it by Christmas.

- CREATIVE -
I’ve always known that Mason is creative – but I’ve never really had the chance to see his work compared to other students and really see the extent of it. Hahhaha  Having him in class this year has really highlighted how unique his brain operates and it’s been fun to see.  For example, I have 22 kids in his PreAlgebra class and we did a graphing pumpkin assignment.  21 kids colored their pumpkins shades of orange and Mason colored his stack orange, Christmas colors and MCA colors. hahahaha

- CHRISTMAS SHOW -
Griffin auditioned for her dance studios Christmas show back in August and got into all the dance numbers she wanted as well as the skit.  She is SO EXCITED as she’s really found a love for jazz and musical theater this year and we’re so excited to watch her perform!

- ACE ANGELS -
Griffin’s volleyball team “rebranded” this year to the Ace Angels and they moved up a division and they are rocking it!  The net is higher, the line is farther back and the competition has been HARD but they’re learning so much and it’s been really fun to watch them.

- CLASS CHAPLAIN -
Griffin’s “class job” is chaplain which means she leads prayer in the morning and prayed during see you at the pole.  She is LOVING it!

- THREE YEARS -
This month marks 3 years since Dave left Stonebridge and next month will mark three years at Bluehaven and he’s closing his 100th house sold TODAY!  WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!  Beyond grateful for God taking something that felt really scary and turning it into a huge blessing.

- ROSIE WALKS -
I’ve mentioned how excited I am for cooler weather and post-dinner walks, but I don’t think anyone is as excited as Rosie.  Summer makes her sluggish and she has some lbs to walk off this Fall 😉

 - READING TIME -
Who remembers our family reading time?!?! As the kids have gotten older we've let that habit fall to the wayside but I'm determined to bring it back this Fall.  Wish me luck!  I'm thinking it may have to be "cozy time" or something like that where we play jazz, light a candle and all hang and read and/or do homework but the vibe will be the same and I'm pumped.
