This may turn out to be one of those recipes/methods that everyone already does on their own but just in case you're looking for a super simple and yummy way to jazz up some green beans for a quick side dish I've got you covered ;)
What You'll Need...
- A pound and a half to two pounds of fresh green beans (I just kind of grab a few handfuls... I don'y pay too much attention to the actual weight)
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Grated parmesan
- Olive oil
- Garlic salt
- Pepper
- Oregano
What You'll Do...
Rinse and drain your green beans, snap off the ends and pat everything dry on a paper towel.
Put the green beans in a big bowl and toss with some olive oil. Once they're coated shake on some parmesan, panko, garlic salt, pepper and oregano. Toss to mix it all up. You could go crazy with whatever salts/herbs/spices you enjoy but we keep it pretty basic. I don't really measure anything - just go with what feels right in your heart ;)
Spread everything out on a baking sheet, pour the breadcrumb/cheese/spice mixture that's left in the bowl on top of the green beans.
Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
They don't look like much but they are TASTY and quick and come together with stuff you probably already have on hand. They also pair with literally everything. I made them earlier this week with meatloaf and mashed potatoes and they were perfection but I've also served them alongside ravioli and they were great. Drizzle some balsamic glaze on top to really take them up a notch.
HAPPY Thursday, friends!!!
Delish!!!
