Friday Favorites

New year, new graphic - same weekly roundup of FAVES!  Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week.  Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)

Monday we were out of school for President's Day and when we were talking about what everyone wanted to do I threw out the zoo as an option because I used to love taking them when they were younger and we had a day off and, surprisingly, all three of them said they wanted to go! The weather looked great and so I snagged tickets and we headed off Monday morning.  The "great weather" turned out to actually be rain in the morning that burned off into super humid heat later in the day but nevertheless we had such a great time!  Lots of animals were out thanks to the warmer temps and, despite the crowds, we really got to see everything!

Griffin and a tiger in the background :)

I don't think I've EVER seen an elephant this close up before!

This pouting gorilla was cracking us up ;)

Hands down my favorite part of the day was getting to see the hippos up close...

... the absolute coolest thing!

After the zoo our plan was to grab lunch and head over the the Dallas Museum of Art but I didn't realize that it was closed on Mondays.  We'll be back during Spring Break!

Y'all know a good sweatshirt is my FAVORITE.  I was gifted this one last week and I love it so much!

The weather (pre-winter weather advisory) was pretty incredible and Luke and Mason got to head out and do one of their FAVORITE things...

... about 48 hours later we were iced in at home with sub-freezing temps.  God bless Texas.

We've been home the past couple of days and our FAVORITES have included lounging...

.... eating grilled cheese...

... falling asleep like a bobsled team...

... and playing countless rounds of bucket ball :)

I hope y'all have a fantastic weekend - we have a weekend FULL of birthday parties, makeup games and Luke is participating in 30-hour famine.

HAPPY Friday, friends!!!

  1. Hi Andrea, I would so appreciate prayers for my elderly mother. She had a terrible fall recently then spent some time in hospital. She came home for a day then went back in and now it looks like she has something bad going on with her liver. I'm so scared and sad. I would really appreciate prayers for her. Thank you so much

  2. The zoo sounds like so much fun! We used to go all the time when my kids were younger. Surprisingly a LOT of museums are closed on Mondays. I think because like most restaurants they are open on the weekend and take Mondays (sometimes even Tuesdays) as their "weekends"
