I love guacamole with all my heart. But it has to be GOOD guacamole. I love fresh guacamole at restaurants but the stuff I make at home will forever be my favorite. Today I'm sharing how I make it and how I presented it to make it a little extra festive :)
What You'll Need...
- 3 large, ripe avocados
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 onion, diced
- cilantro
- 1lime
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
What You'll Do...
1) mash your avocados to your desired level of chunky/smooth - we err on the chunky side
2) Mix in the tomatoes, garlic, onion, cilantro, juice of the lime and sea salt. Stir everyrthing together, taste and adjust as needed.
I served mine up with some festive tortilla chips and skeleton hands and it was an instantly festive app ;)
We love onion flavor, but are not big fans of onion pieces, so I grate onion into our guac for excellent flavor, but no onion chunks!
ReplyDeleteI'll be trying this one. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby makes the similar recipe except….we add one diced Serrano pepper for some heat.
ReplyDeleteI threw all of these ingredients into my food processor recently when I was trying to make guac in a rush, and it was perfect. I pulsed it so it was still a bit chunky. It made me so happy!
ReplyDeleteI need to make this. Love those chips. So festive!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find the chips? I would love to make this.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite guac recipe. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried subbing the salt for Lawrys? It’s a game changer. :)
