Christmas Decor

Happy December 1st!  I'm not sure there's a better way to kick off the month than by sharing our Christmas decorations :) We were SO EXCITED to get the twinkle lights up this year and I'm excited to invite y'all in for a peek!

For whatever reason I decided to keep things extra simple this year and left a lot of my warm-toned ornaments and picks in their bins and instead decided to layer the Christmas garland with some other greenery I had and I LOVE IT!

Here's what it looked like last year...

I. Mean.

I really love how the mantle turned out - the drapey greenery is my favorite part.

The stockings are the same as always - they were a Nordstrom find a few years ago and the glass glitter letters are old from Pottery Barn.

In the little nook area I added a couple of bottle brush trees and a nativity...

... and switched out my Vine and Branches sign for the O Holy Night sign.

On the TV stand I mixed garlands again and love it so much.

I'm not sure I can go back to single garlands again!

The kitchen table has the tree where we hang our advent books every night as well as the giving manger.

And then I have my mom's sweet little mouse nativity on display by the sink.  It's seriously SO STINKING PRECIOUS and I love it so much!

I have Christmas dishes in the cabinet above the desk...

... and a few mugs on the island shelves.

I added deco mesh to the stair garlands this year...

... and added some nativities to the shelves in the living room.

Our tree in the living room is full of homemade and memory ornaments...

And a few cozy festive pillows...

In the dining room we added a simple nativity...

... and then incorporated the yearly Santa photo ornaments into the garland on the buffet.

On this tree I changed things up and added all the kids past school photos and it makes me smile daily!

I CAN'T EVEN HANDLE THIS!!!

LOVE it so much!

The other ornaments are from Birds and Words downtown McKinney.

And there you go!  Christmas at our house!  I still need to get the tree in our bedroom up and decorated but I'll add that to my Friday Faves this week if I get it done in time.

I hope you're having a WONDERFUL first day of December!!

  3. Two questions! I love the ribbon going through the living room tree, can you link a similar one and give directions on how you get it so gorgeous? Also, can you link the frames you used in the garland snd in the tree? Thanks so much!!!

  11. Your Mom’s mouse nativity sells for around $300.00 on eBay. It’s from the early ‘80’s.

  13. Your decorations are beautiful! I love how many nativity scenes you have as well as your tradition of getting each one of your kids an ornament that represents their year. It's so intentional and sweet!
