Weekend Top 10

Happy Monday, friends!  I hope y'all had a fun-filled holiday weekend!  Ours was different than normal, but so sweet!

I don't know when she'll tire of patriotic outfits but until then LONG LIVE THE RED WHITE AND BLUE cuteness ;)

I made my regular apple pie but with a patriotic twist and a new tradition was born!

The downtown parade was changed this year to a "drive through" and while it wasn't the same it was one that we'll be talking about for years.  We're all hoping that there's an in-person parade next year and we'll be there cheering loudly ;)

You know you've been staying at home A LOT when you don't even wear shoes because you haven't needed to go inside anywhere.  No shoes, donuts and air conditioning were definite perks of this year's parade.

Family selfie before Dave headed into work for the morning and afternoon...

This girl LOVES a theme!!!  #shegotitfromhermama

We were SO EXCITED to get to see my brother and his family Saturday night.  Y'all.  There is NOTHING CUTER than babies in red, white and blue.  NOTHING!

Full pool.  Full heart.  ;)  ALL THOSE BOYS!!!
Dave and I always laugh trying to think about what gatherings will look like in the future... in 5 years they'll be 17, 14, 12, 10, 8 and 6 (and 6). hahaha

We headed to the country club to see if we could see the fireworks (they were supposed to be visible from farther away this year since people couldn't go to the athletic complex where they were shooting them from) and Mason found a frog.  Because of course he did ;)

The view of the big show wasn't the greatest BUT we were treated to about 10 individual nearby shows from people who apparently just needed to set some stuff on fire this year ;) hahaha
This picture isn't the greatest but it's the one I took and it's for sure a fireworks show we want to remember.

Hoping y'all had a wonderful holiday!

  2. Yes! Red, white and blue forever and since my 11 grandchildren range in age from 17-2, 8 of them boys, I can absolutely envision what your pool will look like in 5 years:).

  3. We're at that point.. this year's party was almost all teens and it was so surreal to see how much everyone changed from last year's party. Most kids grew a few inches and all the girls are now in tiny bikini's. It was crazy to hear their high school and college plans... how do they get so big so fast?!
