Super Easy Super Yummy Crockpot Chicken Pasta

A couple of weeks ago my friend Natasha hosted our small group at her house and volunteered to make dinner.  She served this creamy chicken pasta dish and my kids FLIPPED OUT for it - like on the way home they were asking me if I could make it for them the next night.  When she sent me the recipe I was SO EXCITED because it was ridiculously easy and is for sure something I can put on my meal plan for when school starts back.

Here's What You'll Need
- 4 large chicken breasts
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1 packet Italian dressing mix
- 1 block cream cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 box farfale (bow tie) pasta

What You'll Do
Put all the ingredients except for the pasta in the crock pot on low for 6 hours (or high for 4 hours).  When the time is up, shred the chicken with two forks and mix everything together.  Add in the cooked pasta and you're done!

This is pretty much the worst food photo of all time but TRUST ME about how good it was!  Next time I probably won't add the entire box of pasta (just to ensure it's extra creamy) but it seriously couldn't have been simpler and all my kids (and Dave and I) enjoyed it so that's a winner in our book.

Happy Thursday, friends!!!

  2. Do you think I could do this in my instant pot on the slow cooker setting? I downsized appliances and no longer have a slow cooker? Thanks, Andrea!!

    1. I don't have an instant pot but I'm assuming that if it can function like a slow cooker than yes!

  3. That does sound nice and easy! But I can already tell I have one that won't eat it... he doesn't like anything with cheese (I honestly have no idea where he gets that from!). Pinned.

    1. You MAY be able to get buy with this once since it doesn't have any "melty cheese" and the cream cheese just tastes creamy, you know? hahaha

  4. Oh heck yes! I love these kinds of meals for summertime too. You put it up in the morning and then go have fun at the beach and when you come home ... voila ... dinner is served.

  5. Made this last night and everyone loved it! I don't use condensed soups, so I just made a roux and added chicken stock and seasonings. Turned out well. Thanks for sharing!
