Prime Lately

Amazon has been my LIFELINE lately and I've been priming pretty much all my kids birthday presents, Easter basket items and other miscellaneous things we've needed during quarantine.

I bought  this game based on a few recommendations and it is SO MUCH FUN!  It's easy enough that all of my kids can play it together and I love that it helps younger kids practice their addition facts (essentially you roll two dice and let's say you rolled 2 fives... you could close your 1 and 9, 2 and 8, 3 and 7, 4 and 6, etc. and the goal is to try and close your box.  It's simple and fun and we've played it constantly!

Griffin has learned to ride without training wheels which means she needed a kickstand and  this one was inexpensive, easy to install and has worked perfectly.

I mentioned Griffin's haircut in yesterday's post and  these are the scissors that I bought.

I have had one of  these gel sleeping masks for a while and my kids all fight over using it.  You put it in the refrigerator and then get it out before bed and it's HEAVENLY.  They each got one in their Easter baskets because we were all tired of sharing ;)

I've started organizing YEARS and YEARS worth of photos and videos and  this is the hard drive I bought to do it.  It's under $50 for 1 TB of storage and was so easy to format for my Mac.

Another Easter basket purchase were  these goggles.  I bought them each a pair three years ago and we managed to hold onto them for that long but can't find any of them this year and they were all excited to get new pairs in their Easter baskets.

I ordered one of  these scoop toys for the boys to try as a boredom buster and it's been SO FUN!  Dave and I can't stop with it either and it's WAY harder and more fun than it looks.

Luke got  this QWIXX game in his Easter basket and we're loving it.  It's kind of like Yahtzee but better.

I mentioned  this ring light/phone holder in a distance learning blog post but have since received a ton of questions about it so here it is again :)  Whether you're trying to teach linear functions remotely or film a cooking video or anything else it's versatile, inexpensive and works really well.

Luke got  this putting green for his birthday and it was a HUGE HIT!  It's rubber backed so it doesn't slide around on our wood floors and we've all had fun with nightly putting competitions ;)

I ran out of post-its for Mason's assignment board and  these arrived next day and were an awesome price for so many.  There were also enough colors for all of his subject areas which was perfect!

I was looking for  some simple bralettes that I could wear under rompers, etc. this summer and couldn't beat the price for these four.  They're ribbed and super comfy and after I cut apart the padding in the middle (seriously.... it was one large piece all the way across the front... it was weird) they've been perfect!  You could easily use your own padding as well or none depending on what you prefer but I've been wearing then nonstop and loving them.

Last, but not least - we're doing some updates to Mason's room and I ordered  these "memo boards" to put above his desk.  He wanted a place to clip up pictures and tickets and things and I thought these were perfect.  I also ordered  this shelf to hook onto it so he can keep his little pencil cups and such up there as well.

Happy Tuesday and Happy Priming, friends!!!

  1. So... When I go to look at several of these items, delivery isn't until May. How did you get so quickly? The only things I can get on prime currently are items I don't need in two days!

    1. Some things will say a later date and then come sooner and other things I'm still getting in two days like normal... it could have to do with the area that I live in? Maybe we're closer to a distribution center? I don't really know!

    2. I am in an Atlanta suburb so I know there is a distribution center near us. I have had a few things come in two days but everything else is taking longer!

  8. We ordered the QWIXX game the last time you recommended it -- thank you! What a fun game! It's got enough strategy to keep you engaged, but enough luck involved that you don't mind losing.

  9. Will you please, PLEASE do a post on how you’ve been organizing all of your pictures and videos? I’m so overwhelmed but I need to do it. I would be devastated if anything happen to my pictures (especially of my kiddos over the years) and yet I can’t seem to manage to get a method down that keeps it all from feeling like a hot mess. Thanks for linking the hard drive!
